Hello Sustainable Quality of Life Working Group,

I have not received your group’s 1-page poster display Word document, and when I sent a reminder to the steering committee just now, below, I got a bounce from Ignacio saying he’s away. I believe he won’t be back until close to 10/7.

Can one of you please take responsibility for creating this document and sending to me by Monday? It shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.

Thanks

Steve

Hello Steering Committee,

Via my email below I requested a one-page Word document with your list of recommendations and 1-4 images around the text. As of today I’ve rec’d this “poster display” from the following working groups; thank you.

  • Adaptation
  • Baseline
  • Energy
  • Suburban
  • Transportation
  • Waste
  • Water

If your working group is not listed above, please forward your document by Monday at the latest, as I need time to create 2 x 3 ft. foam boards out of them.

Happy weekend!

Thanks

Steve

Subject: ESTF: FINAL REPORT + 10/7 Study Session Details

Hello Task Force Members,

It was great to celebrate with those of you who were able to come by the Tied House on Monday night. A great conclusion to our work!

Again, my personal thanks and congratulations to every one of you for your great work over the last 6+ months.

Our FINAL REPORT is available for download in the “Files” section of the “Official Notices” Google group web site. It is titled “FINAL REPORT.pdf”

http://groups.google.com/group/MV-env-sustainability-task-force/files

The report is also available on our public website:

http://www.ci.mtnview.ca.us/services/learn_about_our_city/environmental_sustainability_program.asp#Final%20Report

10/7 Study Session and Official Celebration

The agenda for the Study Session and Celebration is still being finalized, but it will look something like:

6:30-6:40 – Presentation by Chair

6:40-7:15 – Working Group Chair presentations (11 x 3mins = 33 mins)

7:15-7:35 – Comments from the public

7:35-7:55 – Comments from the Council

8:00 – Adjourn to a celebration in the City Hall Rotunda

Important Notes:

  1. The Working Group Chair presentations must be no longer than 3 minutes, and should simply include an introduction of the group members and a few general comments about the subject matter that was considered when researching and deciding on the recommendations. It should not include a review of the recommendations.
  2. During the celebration in the Rotunda we will have 11 easels, with a foam board for each working group that lists the recommendations…and maybe an image or two. The City will take care of producing these foam boards. By 9/26 please provide a 1-page Word document that simply lists your recommendations in rank order and includes 2 or 3 relevant images around the text.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great weekend!!

Steve

Hello SQoL’ers,

I haven’t received a response from anyone from your group, so wondering if my emails are getting through.

I *really* need your poster display ASAP. Can someone please provide me with it tonight, or tomorrow by noon latest?
