Just asking.
Paul
Thanks, Steve, for posting the info about the Action Team meeting.
Although I am unlikely to be able to attend future meetings because I
need to focus efforts on making my own business sustainable I would
like to encourage those involved to continue to provide active
updates via email. I think this is an important part of
communications and outreach. I for one am definitely lurking/
listening and appreciate being kept informed of the Task Force and
any offshoot citizen activities that are spawned by it. I am sure
there are others out here too that may not be attending but will also
benefit from the information, and may be compelled to action when it
works for them.
To Paul,
I am not a City representative, I was just a member-at-large on the
community Task Force, and will say that your suggestions are
definitely possible. The question then becomes are they feasible in
terms of a true cost benefit analysis. Over the past year the Task
Force put together a very in-depth report that analyzes diverse
sustainability factors in the City, and now the City is reviewing all
of the recommendations to see what and how to implement the most
beneficial ones. If you have not done so already I highly suggest you
check out the report available on the City website. Here's a direct
link to the Environmental Sustainability Task Force's recommendations

And if you can, I encourage you to attend the citizen action meeting
Steve just announced on this list:

Happy Holidays to All!
