photo update - share photos on Flickr!

I'm sorry to have dropped off the radar but I can't keep up with the
meetings. Too much business and personal stuff to attend to, good and
bad. That said, I have finally made some progress on the photography
front. This relates to the final report but also to the ongoing
effort to engage the community. I am sharing the information with you
here to see if anyone has questions or concerns before I let the rest
of the task force know about this.
I have started a public photo sharing group on Flickr called
"Sustainable Mountain View, California" where anyone can share
environmental sustainability images of Mountain View. Membership is
open to all. I am the admin but others can become admins or
moderators as well. For those that don't know, Flickr is the most
popular photo sharing website out there. It's free for the general
service and only $24 a year for a pro account (free again if you have
AT&T Yahoo internet service). Here's the link to our group:

to the photo page.)
On Flickr each user gets to manage the copyrights to their photos,
either restricting use or allowing for others to use them to varying
degrees. I am maintaining copyright for my photos but will allow Task
Force members to request photos from me for free use in the final
report. The only restriction is that the photos must be credited in
the report. To request a photo for the final report they will need to
email me with the link to the photo(s). Flickr does not appear to
keep the file name, and I have only posted low-resolution watermarked
versions. Unfortunately, there are too many people that steal photos
from the internet. Additionally, I am also offering the use of any
photos for the final report that are taken by me and available on
Green Stock Media (photos by other photographers are not available
without purchase, sorry):

I am always willing to hear of photo suggestions/requests, and I have
tons more photos in my archive than are presently online. I will be
posting more photos to the Flickr gallery in the coming weeks.
