Elisa and all,

I uploaded the 2005 baseline carbon inventory done by the city last year into the Baseline and Measurement WG page at Google groups. The name of the file is:

MV Community-Wide GHG Inventory - FINAL.xls

There are also a couple other files there relevant to the inventory, the one you might be most interested in is:

ICLEI Bay Area Community GHG Inventoy Methodology - SiliconValley - 12-7-07.pdf

which describes how the inventory was done.

If you have any further questions, please let us know. Though we are still getting started and might not be able to answer them, we can pass them along to our ICLEI representative when we have a conference call.

Members present: Yvonne Farrell, Randy Potter (first part of meeting),
Elisa Peters

We divided our work group's content into three study areas:

1. Existing buildings (including residential and commercial
buildings);
2. New and renovated residential buildings;
3. New and renovated commercial buildings;

All three areas will address both greenhouse gas emissions and
sustainability.

We outlined the following work group schedule:

* Last week of April/first week of May: host charrettes on all three
study areas.
* Month of May: research and refine ideas.
* June: write the report and present ideas to the steering committee.
* July: public feedback.

Once we have charrette dates set, we can start a big round of outreach
for participation.

Needs: baseline numbers for carbon from the built environment; dates
and locations for charrettes.
