Dear Built Env. Working Group,
I am an at-large member of the Task Force and active on the Communications/Outreach Working Group. I am contacting your group because I am interested using my photographs to exemplify the positive and negative aspects of your group's topic area. Photos can be powerful tools to help educate and engage people with the issues. For example, on short notice I put together some of my photos as a collage that is being used on the Task Force site (
http://www.sustainablemountainview.org).
I am willing to donate some photos for Task Force use in exchange for photo credit. The photos could be used for Task Force promotional materials and on your Google Group homepage (see the Outreach page as an example-
http://groups.google.com/group/mv-sust-task-force-communications). One idea I had was that photos could also be used in the final report to the City Council as visual lead-ins to each topic section.
I am interested in:
-Knowing what visuals you think are the most relevant to your topic area (both positive and negative subject matter)
-Being alerted to photo opportunities (locations, events, tours, people, project sites, etc.
-Any feedback you may have (constructive criticism included)
I may already have photos in my archive that speak to your topic area that I can share with your group, but I am definitely interested in getting out and doing more photography as I can. I know that everyone is extremely busy, including myself, so I cannot guarantee getting to any specific event or getting a certain photo but I will do my best. I do look forward to working with your group.
I have attached a sample photo for review purposes only. Contact me if you would like to use it. The photo is of construction on a site on El Camino right near Lozano's Carwash. Not sure it is a Mtn. View address.
***To ensure that I receive your communications please email me directly at

Thank you,
Mike
