Good afternoon Rtn Justine
We have planted trees in some schools/church in Kibogo District.
Let’s work with Rebecca and we upload the photos for these activities as per instructions in email below.
Breeze Family – like Connecting President Emmanuel said, this is a good opportunity to fly the Breeze Flag and find partners for our projects or join together with other clubs in their projects. I therefore appeal to members to share photos with captions of tree planting or any other environmental activity for upload.
When Rtn Justine hosted us in her home, she gave us trees to plant – please share those photos – hoping the trees were planted!!
Stay Blessed
President

Subject: RE: President Muthigani - Rotary Climate Action Team Network Opportunities
Dear President Muthigani,
We would once again like to thank you for signing the Global Climate Pledge and am proud of your club’s commitment to the 7th Area of Focus: Protecting the Environment.
For next steps, please take advantage of the two opportunities with the Rotary Climate Action Team (RCAT) Network listed below, as to continue your club’s climate-positive actions.
· Enter Your Environmental Project in the “I Fixed the Planet Competition”
Enter your project in the 2020-21 Rotary International President Holger Knaack’s “I Fixed the Planet” competition. Your project will also be shared with other Rotary clubs and is an excellent opportunity to showcase your club’s efforts in Rotary’s 7th Area of Focus.
Please visit RCAT’s Project Page for further information and to upload your project.
· Join the RCAT Network by creating a Climate Action Team in Your Club
We invite you to create a Climate Action Team in your club. As part of the RCAT Network, you will be able to utilize their resources, including speakers, video presentations, and monthly forums. Most importantly, you will be able to connect with other clubs who are doing projects that are of interest to your club.
For more information and to create your club’s Climate Action Team please visit https://rcatnow.com/start-team/
RCAT is a gathering of Rotarians from around the world focused on:
- Educating their clubs about the climate crisis
- Advocating for local and regional Clean Energy plans
- Undertaking climate-related projects that support their communities
We look forward to our continued collaboration and making Rotary one of the top leaders in the world in taking action on climate and solving one of the world’s biggest challenges. We were successful with Polio and we will be successful in creating climate PEACE as well!
Yours in Rotary,
Steve Bender - President of the Rotary Club of Newport Beach, California, USA
John Mathers - Rotary Climate Action Network, Past President of Rotary Club of San Francisco
Michelle Thatcher - Founder of Global Climate Pledge and CEO of U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce and Newport Beach Rotary Global Sustainability Chair
