The Governor and the editorial team of The Wave are delighted to share with you the tenth edition in the Rotary year 2020/21.

This month, we celebrate Rotary’s 100 years in Africa. What a journey this has been!! We are delighted to have Tusu give us a synopsis of these 100 years. He is joined by District Governor Annemarie Mostert (RID 9400), the Chairperson of 2021 African Centennial Celebrations inviting us to the virtual celebrations from 24 to 25th April, 2021.

As we highlight Maternal and Child Health, enjoy some sampled projects in this focus area from the following Rotary clubs: Entebbe, Kampala North, Kiwatule, Kololo, and Mukono in collaboration with the Sindica Movement.

A wide range of articles are also drawn from: Arusha, Arua Eco City, Bugolobi MorningTide, Bukoto, Bweyogerere Namboole, Dar-es-Salaam Mikocheni, Kabale, Kampala Central, Kira, Muyenga Tankhill, and Rubaga Lake View. The Rotaract Club of Uptown also shares the fruits of their first global grant.

Has your club registered with Rotary Uganda Limited (RUL)? Find out why your club should be a member of RUL.

This edition carries the Women in Rotary celebrations, Rotary Peace Fellows, RI-USAID WASH Partnership Project, and the journeys of the newly chartered clubs – Kampala Morning Stars, and Butabika Royals – both drawing their genesis from social media posts.

Please share this magazine with your international partners. As we draw closer to end of the D9211 era, please share the stories of your achievements for publication in The Wave.

See you at the 96th DCA. Do not miss the opportunity to join the Rotary Club of Kisaasi-Kyanja as it - Rides to Beat Malaria. More details in this issue.

May this be a good read for you over this Easter holiday.
