Muswell Hill Chess - 2023/24 Schedule

Hi all,

 

The schedule for the 2023-24 season is below/attached.  There are still a couple of 2^nd team fixtures to be confirmed.

 

The club championships will begin on Oct 10th, with the first group stage running until the end of November.  Then the final groups will be played during Jan-Apr.  If you’re interested in playing, please register your interest with Simon Brougham by Oct 3rd at the latest.

 

Also let Simon or me know if interested in playing for the league teams this season.  As with last season, league matches are 6 boards per team, with the rough rating boundaries being ECF 2000+ for the 1^st team and ECF 1500-2000 for the 2^nd team (depending on interest/availability).  The 1^st team are playing in Div 1 and the 2^nd team in Div 2 of the Middlesex League.

 

Players in the club championship or in league teams will need to be club members, and should additionally join the English Chess Federation (minimum bronze membership).

Membership fees (Sep-May):

Full membership - £60.00 (Alternative: £5 per evening pay-to-play)

Junior membership - £30.00
