MHCC - End of Season Blitz & AGM

Hi all,
The summer break for the club is already upon us, with a couple of events left in the calendar-
13 May - blitz - 7:15pm start. Time control will be 5 min flat, or possibly with a small increment. Ungraded games, just for fun 🤩
20 May - AGM - 7pm start. Let me know in advance if you have points to raise, questions etc.
Team updates:
The 1st team secured an historic title win in Division 1 of the Middlesex League, after a run of 7 straight match wins to finish the season. Well done to the team and to captain Simon Wilks. Shout out to Stanley who had a ridiculous 2600+ performance on board 1, and also Fredrik who performed 300 points above his rating on board 6. It was also nice to see ex captain Phil Makepeace back in action for the last few matches.
The 2nd team have had a good season in Division 3, and may have done enough to secure promotion, although it depends on a few other results still to come.
The next official club date post 20 May will be the first Tuesday in September. If people want to continue at the clissold on Tues over the summer that’s great, but bring own equipment and be aware that we do not have the room booked.
