Born on 15th of May 1972 as the younger son of Mr. P K G Pilla, a former high school headmaster and a veteran political activist and late Mrs. K S Thankachi, dist. edn. Officer, G S Pradeep was childhood prodigy, bighearted Ramayana and Mahabharata at the age of 4 and reading thousand books in ten years he has became a surprise to one and all who knew him. During the school level he has been awarded as the state best speaker at many time and his college days were to witness much more honors.He entitled six years continuous best speaker of Kerala University. He was crowned with the most coveted 'Kalaprathibha' during 1993. During his college times he started a rapid speaking performance in the All India Radio regularly and that assigned him the title "oru nimisham pradeep". joined in the govt service at the age of 20 and left the job very soon by becoming grandmaster through the most famous reverse quiz 'Aswamedham' in Kairali tv. That show went on air for 1500 episodes and he was invited by the Star tv to perform the same in Tamil and Kannada. He has won 1283 awards so far. Some are man of the year 2003, outstanding young man of india 2005, entry in Limca book of world records, K Balakrishnan award, P Kesavadev award, Mini screen star of the year award and much more. For the last two years he has been doing his programmes in six channels in Tamilnadu Srilanka and Malasia. After recognizing his caliber and capability, International Tamil University came forward with a D-lit degree to honor him on behalf of the Tamil People.Memory wizard title 2010 by the United Nations Organisation, Srilanka is another major tittle which came to his way. Kerala has become fortunate to bring back the oratory and intellectual genius to Malayalam TV by his current hit program ' Vachakaraja' in Surya tv airing on every Saturday at 10pm. Recently he has been declared as the ' suvarnaprathibha' award winner by the ABC cultural trust. The India today magazine has featured him as one of the 10 great media men in the last 20 years history of Kerala. Most recently The Asian Television Organisation announced him as the Most Influential Asian Television Personality. Y's man PWAF grand master Dr.G S Pradeep is the president of Trivandrum pearls.
The walking encyclopedia Dr G S Pradeep is a versatile genius in all sorts. There is little area where his hands have not gone. The tricks he brought into the television scenario were very simple. Entertainment with information as the motive. The trick which many tried, but ended in failure what Pradeep took as a challenge. Pradeep came up with an entirely different idea where his motto was to make the society work a little bit and think a lot. Reading which cornered into the darks was again dragged into the drawing rooms. People started reading a lot to face the challenge put forward by this genius. He was slowly cultivating a new intellectual boom in Kerala. The state was a lot to him. Nothing wonder, why he is accepted and recognized as the “youth Icon” of not just our state but of the whole country.Aswamedham - the ride towards success, which is a landmark in the history of Indian television, started its gallop on June 21 2001. The first reverse quiz in the history of television programmes was viewed by millions of Malayalees with a new mind set. It was something which was out of dreams for them. The performance by the grandmaster was accepted by Malayalees world wide. The programme later entered into the LIMCA BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS as the first reverse quiz programme. The Grandmaster till remained unmoved. He was reaching new heights and panoramas. Star Group invited him into their show as recognition of his innate skills. He is leading the prime time of Star Vijay now and his success story continues.His efforts where never in vain. The social awareness of today’s youth grew into new heights because of his seemingly endless efforts. Today’s youth turned passionate to know what is new and who is new. The infotainment led to career growth by inspiring them to learn more. And that all never turned true without the efforts from his side.

Beyond the circle of television, he is an orator who entertains and educates people. His high value high speed speeches always had welcomed by the mob. Each and every speech encourages people to think about their abilities and disabilities. The Grandmaster style of speech is a direct interaction between the people and the podium. G S Pradeeps name is there in the literature world also. His pen has contributed the golden threshold of five books into the field of Malayalam literature. This contains books about mathematics, memory retention and IQ development and a book the poems of Grandmaster. BRAIN MAGIC- a book among them was well accepted by all groups of people and became the best seller of that period. His ability as writer is being utilized by the magazines and news papers also. Another invaluable ability that this master brain contains is that the ability to teach. He is a man who loves to share his knowledge with others. He seems like a magician rather than a teacher when he takes classes. It’s because that he is a man who is having a brain full of tricks and solutions for all sort of people. His career guidance classes made critical positive changes among the youth and their path of thinking. This talented energetic brain is also a little bit sporty too; he is a state level carom player and won several titles inside Kerala. His showman play has got a caption - beauty mixed with thought.

Grand master, the first of its kind reverse quiz game show has gained immense popularity among audiences' young and old alike. The Grandmaster G S Pradeep with his high intellect cracks the most difficult of personalities that are on the opponent's mind. His skill in identifying the personality within the 21-question limit has truly left the audience in awe.He recently won the most influential Asian television performer 2009 award at sharjah cricket stadium .

Challenge is not new to the Grandmaster after taking on 3 contestants at the same time in his show and cracking the answers within 21 questions; the Grandmaster now takes on a new challenge. In this format, he faces a team of three contestants who are to think of three different categories. One contestant has to think of a famous personality while the other to think of a famous city; and the third to think of a famous event.
The show will also be anchored by Kavitha. There are 2 juries so that if the contestant makes a mistake, it can be calculated as lifelines.

- He was The anchor of the Aswamedham program on the Malayalam channel Kairali TV. It is a version of twenty questions.
- He was also the anchor of Padayottam, a quiz program on Kairali TV
- Grand Master - another unique game show in Tamil on Vijay TV, one that combines intellect and analytical skill. now mr G.S PRADEEP conducting the same style of show in MEGHA TV on Friday to Sunday at 7.30pm to 8pm.
- He currently does a similar show in Mega TV called Panchathanthiram. It involves 3 rounds one in which he questions the participants and the 2nd round involves the same 21 questions theme and an optional 3rd round which holds the prize money won in the 1st 2 rounds as stake.
- He is now an anchor and judge for show named 'VACHAKARAJA' in Surya TV which exclaims us about his fascinating caliber in the language and G.K CHATHURANGAM R.S.PRADEEP IS MAIN BRIAN OF THIS SHOW
- He is now an anchor of the Rananganam program on the Malayalam channel Jai Hind TV. Dr Shashi Tharoor participated as a contestant after inaugurating this program.
