IHSAN
http://www.islamichomeeducation.co.uk/IHSAN was set up in 2000 by a group of Muslim women who were seeking
alternatives to mainstream education for their children. A number of us
have sent our children to school and then chosen to withdraw them, some
of us have chosen not to send our children to school from the
beginning, still others are seeking other 'alternatives' in
education such as setting up small home 'schools' or combining
part-time schooling with home schooling. We all however share a desire
to provide our children with a quality education with Islam at its
core.
IHSAN AIMS:
To assist and support Muslim parents who are home educating and
those who are seeking other educational alternatives for their
children.
To create an awareness of home education, other alternatives to
mainstream education and of the importance of education generally.
To ensure parents are fully informed of their rights and
responsibilities when home schooling.
To inform parents of affordable, quality and easily accessible
educational resources which support Islamic education, values and
beliefs.
To strengthen the Muslim community by creating a network of
Muslims who are like-minded in their approach to educating their
children.
