The opera "Library" (music and argument by Paulinyi, 2011, libreto by Macedo, 2011) is produced by post-graduation students of University of �ｿｽvora and University of Toronto, collecting theoretical and practical facts of music, philosophy, literature and performing arts. This seminar reports the results of this research integration in two sessions. The stage director Alexandra Espiridi�ｿｽo explains the steps of performing plan of the libretto, which addresses two issues relevant to relationship conflicts: impossibility of dialogue and judgement. At the second part, Zoltan Paulinyi shows how music highlights these issues by exploring axiomatic fallacies of the theory of atonal music of the twentieth century. The opera will be premiered in June 27, 2011 at the Public Library of �ｿｽvora performed by the Grupo Contempor�ｿｽneo conducted by Christopher Bochmann, stage direction by Alexandra Espiridi�ｿｽo and international cast of University of �ｿｽvora.
2-International Call for writers (libretto proposals)
Addressing further international opera projects, writers are invited to submit libretto proposals in any language to composer Zoltan Paulinyi (paulinyi at yahoo.com). Text (up to 3000 words) must be written for one or two characters. Contemporary poetic language and innovative ideas will be evaluated.
