I want to bring your attention to the sixth conference of Fr�he Neuzeit
Interdiziplin�r (FNI) in March 2012 at Duke University.
FNI is the leading forum for interdisciplinary research in early modern
German history, and has active members in the fields of history,
musicology, art history, and literature. The theme of next year's
conference is "Visual Acuity and the Arts of Communication in Early
Modern Germany", and while art-historical topics are likely to be
prominent, the conference is welcoming contributions from any field that
may touch on aspects of visual culture. Abstracts are due by 15 June
