Hello all,

We have just launched a VAP search in music industry and AI at Northeastern University, intended to start this Fall. This is a one-year position on the Boston campus with the possibility of renewal for a second year. We seek an experienced college-level educator with a record of interdisciplinary research, innovative pedagogy, and relevant teaching experience in music industry/business and intersecting technical areas such as algorithm development, artificial intelligence, data analysis, extended reality, and/or rapid prototyping. The Department of Music has strong programs in Music Industry and Music Technology, and we seek a colleague who can bridge these areas. Candidates whose pedagogy and research are informed by performance and/or professional experience are encouraged to apply. The teaching load is 3-3 and will likely include three sections of Introduction to Music Industry (two in Fall, one in Spring), a new course AI and the Music Industry (Fall), and two additional Music Industry electives in the Spring that align with the successful candidate’s expertise.

For the full job description and to apply, please see: https://northeastern.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/careers/job/Boston-MA-Main-Campus/Visiting-Assistant-Professor-in-Music-Department_R133419-1

As the search chair, I am happy to answer any questions or informal inquiries. All best from Boston,
Andrew Mall
