The College of Musical Arts at BGSU offers graduate students in Musicology and Ethnomusicology excellent opportunities to develop the scholarly and pedagogical skills necessary to thrive in and beyond academia. We offer a full complement of courses and seminars that encourage engagement with both traditional and current lines of research in the discipline. The CMA—with around 500 students and 56 full-time faculty members—provides students with the resources of a large university coupled with the atmosphere of a supportive community. Graduate students in Musicology and Ethnomusicology enjoy dedicated mentoring through individual attention and professional guidance. Additionally, BGSU is located near several major cities with vibrant music cultures, including Detroit, Ann Arbor, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Chicago.
