FALL 2021 VIRTUAL MEETING: SOUTHWEST CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN MUSICOLOGICAL SOCIETY

The AMS-SW Chapter is pleased to announce its Fall 2021 Virtual Meeting to be held Saturday, October 2, 2021. AMS-SW invites all music scholars to submit proposals.
AMS-SW particularly encourages participation by graduate student presenters, from both within and beyond university musicology programs. AMS-SW welcomes co-authored presentations as well as any kind of collaboration, such as faculty / student (undergraduate or graduate) collaborations.
Virtual poster presentations, panels, and lecture-recitals may be considered for inclusion in this meeting. Papers will be read in real time, and all sessions will be recorded. Recordings will be made available to registered conference attendees with the permission of the presenter.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS
Abstracts should include a precise statement of the problem, methodological framework, findings, and implications for specific fields of study. Abstracts must not exceed 250 words. Please send all information requested below as a Word document (with the author’s last name as the file name) to the Secretary-Treasurer, Dr. Virginia Whealton (Virginia.E.Whealton -at- ttu.edu
), with the email subject “AMS-SW.” The AMS bylaws stipulate that one must be a member of the national organization in order to be a member of a chapter. Hence, all presenters must be members of the chapter and society. You can join the chapter and society, renew your membership, and pay Southwest Chapter dues at https://amsmusicology.org
