Position Description
The Vanderbilt University Blair School of Music invites applications for a full-time, continuing-track position as Lecturer of Musicology/Ethnomusicology to begin August 15, 2025. We seek a creative, dedicated classroom pedagogue keen to address fundamental questions about music and humanity. Teaching fluency with global popular music (including music in the USA), music and technology, and/or music on stage and screen (including ludomusicology) is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to design and lead undergraduate courses at multiple registers, principally those accessible to all Vanderbilt undergraduates (3-3 load). The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in curricular development with collaborative and forward-looking colleagues. The initial appointment term for this position is one year with the possibility of renewal and promotion according to School and University guidelines.

Qualifications
An advanced degree in musicology, ethnomusicology, or a related field is preferred; candidates with equivalent professional experience will be considered.
