The Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University (the University of Western Ontario) in Canada invites expressions of interest in applying to Western's Postdoctoral Fellowship program.

This two-year research-only fellowship provides a stipend of CA$70,000/year + benefits and $5,000 research allowance, plus an annual increase in year 2.

Applicants will need to propose a project that aligns significantly with the research program of one of our full-time research faculty members in musicology, music theory, popular music studies, composition, music education, or music performance (see: https://music.uwo.ca/research/faculty.html). Those interested in applying should contact the faculty member with whom they wish to work as soon as possible to express interest, as faculty members will only be able to support one candidate. If the faculty member is willing to support their application, then the candidate and potential supervisor complete the various sections of the application form together.

The title, project proposal, and supervisor statement sections of the application form must be drafted and sent to emily.ansari -at- uwo.ca and clemire2 -at- uwo.ca by April 24 at 3pm, so we can assist with language regarding matching funding (which is not required) and the internal notifications (ROLA) process. The finalized application, with two letters of support, should be submitted by the applicant before May 6 at 3pm via the online submission portal (see guidelines in link below).

More information on the program can be found at: https://www.uwo.ca/research/funding/students/postdoctoral_fellowship_program.html. Questions regarding music-related applications can be sent to emily.ansari -at- uwo.ca.
