POSITION TITLE: Music History Adjunct Faculty
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The NYU Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions (MPAP) Music Theory and History program seeks a qualified candidate to teach undergraduate Music History 2 (Baroque to Early Classical) this Spring. The course meets once a week on Fridays, from 8:00–9:40am, starting January 28, 2022. More information about the department can be found at

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ABD or terminal degree in music history, or another field of music with appropriate specialization and experience. Experience teaching undergraduate music history as the primary instructor.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the use of digital or online tools. Evidence of innovative and inclusive approaches to music history pedagogy.
