The Society for the Study of Sound and Music in Games (SSSMG) is proud to present the first free online workshop in our new series: “High Score: Teaching Game Music in Higher Education” on Tuesday, 29 October 2024, 11:00am EST / 3PM GMT. The topic of our first session is:
“Pitching a Course/Module on Game Music”
This session is designed to provide advice for anyone who is interested in creating a new course or module on video game music or adding game music to their music curriculum at post-secondary/university level.
Panelists for this session include:
-Dr William Gibbons, Dean, School of the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
-Dr Andra Ivănescu, Senior Lecturer in Games Studies, Brunel University of London
-Dr Pete Smucker, Assistant Dean of the School of Music, Stetson University
