Good day,

For playback in MuseScore of choral / acapella sheet music, are there any other "instruments" / voices you prefer?

The built-in vocal sounds in MuseScore can be nice... but sometimes I'm looking for a more "pure" sound without the "ahh" so I was curious what other sounds you've found are good for such.?

(Such as, if I want to send a practice audio track to a choir... for sounds that work nice other than the built-in vocal sounds)

For example, I have some notation for 4-part male quartet. When it is played in piano, it does not blend nicely (since, For example, the baritone is fairly low on the piano and the lower notes of piano do not blend as well as actual voices).

Thanks for your time and input!
Shawn

Hi Shawn

I am not a Musescore expert, just a user. I would just suggest you have the name of the instruments specified in your initial set up of the score.

I agree the continuous sound has a different effect from the decaying sound of a piano.

Perhaps one day Musescore will be able to sing the words (a hundred years from now)

Bob
