Musick Creek is an incredible workshop where we get to witness the forest as it rejuvenates!
Masha and Jemmy put together a nice photo essay for you, from the recent tree planting. It’s almost as if you were there…or you were!

A message and invitation from Jem:
Dear friends of vision and love,
National Resource Conservation Service has signed a contract with the Musick Creek Confluence to pay about half the cost of some soil stabilizing work on our post-fire acreage. We will be using the little remaining dead wood in these areas to terrace horizontally and slow down any erosion that can further compromise our soils. This project can start real soon and can go for over a year if necessary. We are so thrilled for the opportunity to do all we can for our forest and to offer everyone the chance to join in on site or remotely with your energies and encouragement!
We have simultuously been planting seedlings and will be at it some more this weekend in anticipation of some blessed rains.
How often do you get invited to plant a forest?
The best time to plant a forest is 30 years ago.
The second best time would be this weekend!
Saturday April 24th planting—before precip on Sunday!
Special thanks to Central Sierra Resiliency Fund Seedlings of Hope for the precious starts.
