MusicCaptioning

Welcome to the Music Captioning group, a place where you can discuss captioning / subtitling of a given video, and possible issues and points of interest arising from that.

This is also, but not exclusively, an extra tool for the Amara Music Captioning team. The idea is to have one post for each video, with the replies used to discuss its captioning /subtitling. This should form a kind of database, where things should be easily retrievable thanks to the group's search engine and to the tags.

About tags: all members of this group can add their own, but let's try to keep their proliferation under control ;-) So far, two of these tags indicate the origin of the videos listed in this group:

1. MC-Amara-team indicates videos added to  the Amara Music Captioning team
2. MC-Wiki indicates videos removed from  the Amara Music Captioning team in June 2012 and listed in Ghost tasks page of its wiki (which also explains why they were removed).

(and then the tag unteamed indicates music videos that have not been added to the Amara Music Captioning team nor to the Ghost tasks page of its wiki)

So you can just browse this group without joining, and only join if you want to participate in a discussion or start a new one. If you do join, it might be a good idea to put the "How do you want to read this group?" setting in "My membership" on No Email, Abridged Email or Digest Email when you are not actively engaged in a discussion: the amount of "repertory" posts (giving a link to a captioning page) could remain unpredictable.
