Are you interested in the intersection of music, technology, and human–computer interaction?

This fully funded PhD project explores how biometric and movement-based interfaces can transform musical performance and creativity in extended reality (XR) environments. The research will draw on spatial computing, wearable sensors, and interactive system design to reimagine the human body as an expressive musical instrument.

The successful applicant will join UCL’s Knowledge Lab—a leading interdisciplinary centre for research on learning, creativity, and emerging technologies—benefiting from access to state-of-the-art XR and motion capture facilities.
