Dear colleagues and peers (apologies for any cross-postings),


The AIMC Steering Committee is excited to share new updates on the AI Music Creativity (AIMC) conference.

AIMC 2024 will be organized by Dr. Oded Ben-Tal and Dr. 

David De Roure at the University of Oxford, UK. 

Details of the call for papers, tutorials and workshops can be found on the AIMC 2024 website (https://aimusiccreativity.org/2024/01/09/AIMC-2024-CFP/). 


Important dates for AIMC 2024 are listed as the following:

  • March 10th - Submission deadline

  • April 30th - Notification to authors

  • July 15th - Camera-ready version of submissions

  • Sep 9th - Conference opens

Bids for hosting AIMC 2025 are now being sought. Please submit your application by March 15th, 2024, via aimusic-...@sfu.ca. More details and guidelines for hosting proposals can be found on the AIMC website: https://aimusiccreativity.org/2024/01/09/Welcoming-bids-for-2025/

As always, the proceedings of the AIMC conference and its constitutive workshops are available at https://aimusiccreativity.org/conferences/, along with a special issue of the Journal of Creative Music Systems (JCMS), gathering extended versions of selected papers from the 1st conference on AI Music Creativity: https://www.jcms.org.uk/collections/collection/ 


From August 30 to September 1, AIMC 2023 (co-chaired by Dr. Chris Kiefer and Dr. Thor Magnusson) was successfully held at the University of Sussex, Bristol, UK. It brought together several collaborating institutions and partners in a program featuring paper presentations, concerts, panel discussions, workshops, and three keynotes. The theme of AIMC 2023 was Intelligent Performance Systems. For more information, and to access video recordings of the conference, please follow:
