Il nuovo album “752 NEW AND OLD SINGLES ” di BRERA’S KEY é Realizzato grazie al contributo di RASI:
RETE ARTISTI SPETTACOLO PER L'INNOVAZIONE.
E' un lavoro che alcuni definirebbero di musica Crossover. Tuttavia la varietà delle sonorità presenti è tale che non è possibile identificare l’intero album in un unico genere. Di fatto è un CD di musica Vintage con la V maiuscola, il cui genere spazia tra il Rock-Blues & la West Coast, tra il Southern Rock e le Soul Ballads. Il tutto equamente diviso tra le sessions in Studio & Live, gli inediti e le Cover, oltre ai brani inediti in versione Unplugged.
Le influenze musicali più tangibili sono quelle di BOB DYLAN, JOE COCKER, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, BLACK CROWES, RY COODER, DIRE STRAITS, NEIL YOUNG. I tre brani live – materiale d’archivio – sono suonati con la Band “ON THE ROAD” – insieme al bassista MICHAEL BRILL e al batterista Pino Liberti – i quali richiamano il Groove degli storici GRANDFUNK RAILROAD.
I due unici brani del disco che hanno un Sound più vicino al Pop moderno sono “HOLDING HANDS”, con un groove a metà tra ALANIS MORRISETTE & BECK, (brano riproposto a fine CD anche nella versione in italiano “OGGI È IL TUO DOMANI”) e l’accattivante “OMAGGIO A KARL”, registrata nel 2000 insieme a KARL POTTER (r.i.p.) – il (fu) percussionista di Pino Daniele – riproposto in versione remastered.
Gli inediti sono 10 (dieci):

I brani Cover sono 4 (quattro), delle quali “FACTORY” (di Bruce Springsteen) è nella versione studio, registrata con la band FREQUENZATTIVA e i 3 brani Live,
TUSH, SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, KEEP ON ROCKIN’ IN THE FREE WORLD sono registrati con la band “On the Road” (per l’appunto MICK BRILL & Pino Liberti).
Per quanto riguarda i brani unplugged, ovverosia:

ANOTHER MIND GONE (2′ versione), sono stati realizzati con pianoforte e voce).
Al pianoforte però non c’è un musicista qualsiasi ma il Maestro
PRIMIANO DI BIASE, tastierista dei DIRE STRAITS LEGACY ( con PHIL PALMER, STEVE FERRONE, MEL COLLINS, DANNY CUMMINGS, ALAN CLARK).
L'ARTISTA HA RILASCIATO UNA BREVE MA SIGNIFICATIVA DICHIARAZIONE:
"HO LAVORATO OLTRE 30 GIORNI AL MASTERING PER OTTIMIZZARE IL SOUND DI BRANI ESTRAPOLATI DALL'ARCHIVIO E DI ALCUNI ALTRI REGISTRATI DI RECENTE. HO RAGIONE DI CREDERE CHE QUESTO ALBUM SIAMO IL MIGLIORE IN ASSOLUTO DELLA MIA TRENTENNALE CARRIERA".

The new album "752 NEW AND OLD SINGLES" by BRERA'S KEY is realized thanks to the contribution of RASI: NETWORK OF PERFORMING ARTISTS FOR INNOVATION.
It's a work that some would call Crossover music. However, the variety of sounds present is such that it is not possible to identify the entire album in a single genre. In fact it is a CD of Vintage music with a capital V, whose genre ranges between Rock-Blues &the West Coast, between Southern Rock and soul ballads. All equally divided between the sessions in Studio &Live, the unreleased and the Covers, in addition to the unreleased songs in the Unplugged version.
The most tangible musical influences are those of BOB DYLAN, JOE COCKER, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, BLACK CROWES, RY COODER, DIRE STRAITS, NEIL YOUNG.
The three live tracks – archival material – are played with the Band "ON THE ROAD" – together with bassist MICHAEL BRILL and drummer Pino Liberti – which recall the Groove of the historic GRANDFUNK RAILROAD. The only two songs on the album that have a sound closer to modern Pop are "HOLDING HANDS", with a groove halfway between Alanis Morrisette &Beck, (song re-proposed at the end of the CD also in the Italian version "OGGI È IL TUO DOMANI") and the captivating "OMAGGIO A KARL", recorded in 2000 together with KARL POTTER (r.i.p.) – the percussionist of Pino Daniele – re-proposed in a remastered version.
The unreleased tracks are 10 (ten): of which unpublished the first four were made with the support of the band Macchianera.
The cover tracks are 4 (four), of which "FACTORY" (by Bruce Springsteen) is in the studio version, recorded with the band FREQUENZATTIVA and the 3 songs Live, TUSH, SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, KEEP ON ROCKIN' IN THE FREE WORLD are recorded with the band "On the Road" (mick BRILL & Pino Liberti). As for the unplugged songs, namely: YOU GOTTA LEARN TO FLY, THE RIGHT WAVE, ANOTHER MIND GONE (2′ version), were made with piano and voice).
At the piano, however, there is not just any musician but the Maestro PRIMIANO DI BIASE, keyboardist of DIRE STRAITS LEGACY (with PHIL PALMER, STEVE FERRONE, MEL COLLINS, DANNY CUMMINGS, ALAN CLARK).
THE ARTIST RELEASED A BRIEF BUT SIGNIFICANT STATEMENT:
"I WORKED OVER 30 DAYS ON MASTERING TO OPTIMIZE THE SOUND OF SONGS TAKEN FROM THE ARCHIVE AND SOME OTHERS RECORDED RECENTLY. I HAVE REASON TO BELIEVE THAT THIS ALBUM IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST OF MY THIRTY-YEAR CAREER".
