Dear Gurus, Gurukuls, Students, and Rasikas:
On behalf of all from Saptami Foundation, I welcome you all to the 7th year celebrations of Saptami Foundation. This year we are conducting the annual talent search in 7 regions and on Sep 24, 2016, Saptami will hold its Midwest region competition at the location specified in the flier attached herewith.

Saptami's mission is to generate interest in the classical music and dance and to promote students to pursue this art form seriously by providing opportunities for them to perform. Saptami is also gathering momentum to work with School districts to enable them to accept our classical art form in the main stream.
This year events will contain the following tracks.

Level 1: Jathiswaram&Swarajathi, Geetham, Varnam, Krithi, and Devotional Solo, Geetham Group, Varnam Group, Krithi Group, Devotional Group
Level 2: Varnam, Krithi, Niraval, Kalpanaswaram, Virutham, Alapana, Devotional Solo
Level 3: RTP, Concert Competition
Dance:
Bharatanatyam Solo in 3 age groups, Bharatanatyam Group, Semi Classical/Devotional Dance Solo, Semi Classical/Devotional Dance Group
Bharatanatyam Performance Competition for Post Arangetram Students

Group of performers from music or dance schools can sign up for 30 min performance slots
Awards are given at the end of the day on Sep 24, 2016 for all regional winners. In addition judges will select few outstanding winners will be selected to compete in Saptami Nationals on Nov 19-20, 2016 in Dallas, TX. Please see the chart below for a snapshot of awards.
