Hello all,

The Music Rhythm google group has been created to facilitate the discussions that were started at the March 2013 Rhythm Workshop in Abu Dhabi. Please feel free to begin new topics, post questions, and invite new members. We aim for this to be a lively forum that will continue to generate the multiple perspective dialogue initiated at the Workshop.

Here are some pointers/links to orient yourself:
  • The Rhythm Workshop site has links to a list of the Workshop participants, as well as abstracts and talk titles.
  • The Rhythm Workshop wiki has notes about the break out sessions. These will probably continue to be updated in the following weeks.
  • Use this group to initiate or continue conversations about music rhythm. Use the wiki to add larger documents or share resources with the community. When adding to the wiki, please alert the community via the google group.
Best,
--Andy

Thanks for the googlegroup setup Andy! Just sending an alert, that I have added notes on topics "rhythm similarity" (under Andy's additions) and "pitch-time isomorphism". Please feel free to add your own changes and thoughts.

Looking forward to work with many of you in the near future!

Thanks,
Akshay

I added my notes for the "Rhythm and Trance" and "Syncopation and Complexity" (turned "Syncopation") sessions.

It was very nice to meet everyone! I learned a lot and had a great time.

Cheers,
Patti
