Minion updated, and now it won't connect to my server.

I uninstalled, updated firefox to the latest, reinstalled minion,
rebooted my server, and it still won't connect.

I also run Pmix, another MPD client, on my android phone, and it works
just fine.

Sadly,I think the latest version is broke. :-(

Vista Client, Firefox 3.6.8, Minion 2.1.1, MPD 0.13.0 on VectorLinux
5.9 std.
No password running on port 6600

396 artists
595 albums
6368 songs

That's all I can think of.

DOH!

I had to re-add my server config and for some reason, I put the IP in the description field and the host name in the IP field.

Oh well. Upgraded MPD to 0.15.... Back in business.

Spoke to soon.

Disconnects from server constantly while browsing collection. Keeps forgetting server address. Now it won't even connect again.

If anyone cares....
Minion only runs while Firefox is running.

I'd always used an icon to launch it like this:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -chrome chrome://minion/content/minion.xul

Doesn't work anymore. The only way to launch it now is from the Firefox Minion Menu.
Do that, and it runs fine.

Hi Bill,

Good to hear the mpd upgrade fixed the problem. The 0.13 is quite old now and I guess the protocol evolved since then...
As for running from the command line, yeas it was a feature, but I didn't had time to maintain this. Minion is a nice piece of code, but quite big as well.
If you want  this feature back, simply open a bug for that. I'll do my best to re-enable this.

Also, it's not that "anyone cares...", but I develop on my spare time. It's currently  10.04am in Sydney and I'm in the office. So, I'm ure you can understand how busy I am sometimes.

Best regards

Lol
Sorry,  Didn't mean it that way.

Anyways,  thanks for the info. If I'm the only one who noticed the command line is inop,  then it's probably not worth the effort to rewrite it.

Open a request anyway ;-) I don't say it's going to be on top of the list, but when I know people use a feature, it's always nice to maintain it.
and at least, you'll be able to track when it will be re-enable and I may contact you as well for some additional testings :-)
