New packages have been posted. I've been extremely busy the last few
weeks and haven't kept track of the changes. It's all been bug fixes
in this version.

Hi Chris,
Great to see the new version development chugging along. It's hard to
believe, but v.2 looks like it might even be 1000 times better than v.
1! ... incredible.

I'm having some issues with this version, though. Using Firefox with
OS X (tiger 10.4xxx) and Firefox Portable (windows xpp-sp2) mpd
versions - 0.12.2-2ubuntu2 (ppc) and 0.13.2-3lenny1 on another
server. I haven't tried Firefox on Linux yet.

Both connect to other servers, i.e. not 'localhost'.

Both have a similar issue with constantly connecting/disconnecting. I
finally got the OSX minion to connect after deleting all the servers
from 'manage servers' and added the correct host but after a few
operations it's pretty much back to the constant connecting/not-
connected situation....

I was starting to think that perhaps the connection issue was with
minion trying to dl all the album art (setting left as default) but I
can't seem to get the windows version to connect even with dl album
art disabled. meh.. All my MPD's generally use a NFS share (or a
local copy of it) which contains around 67,000+ files.

Am I stupid...?

Actually, it just occurred to me that maybe our ad-blocking add-ons
are interfereing with minion...? i.e. ad blocker and adblock plus

....just thinking out loud as I haven't really tested this yet.

The ad-blocking add-ons shouldn't affect it.  It sounds like it is crashing out while communicating with the server.  I'm thinking there is a parsing error happening.

I would start by going to Settings and unchecking "Save browser state between sessions".  If you use a password to access your server, try turning it off and testing.  Also, take note of where you browse in your collection and what's in your playlist, is there any characters that are out of the ordinary?

If you start firefox from the command line, Minion will dump out a lot of debuging info.  Try that and see if anything looks relevant.
