Join Sydney Philharmonia Choirs for CHORUSOZ® 2018 - a weekend of singing and music making over the June long weekend. This is your chance to perform a choral masterpiece alongside fellow music-lovers on the world famous Sydney Opera House stage.

People travel from across Australia and the world to enjoy the experience of singing a large-scale choral work at the Sydney Opera House, sharing the experience with hundreds of passionate singers, world-class soloists and the Sydney Philharmonia Orchestra. Many people say it is a life-changing experience and a highlight on their annual calendar.

In 2018 ChorusOz will present Saul, composed by George Frideric Handel and considered one of his most distinctive and greatest masterpieces. The dramatic, theatrical story line and the elaborate score will make this another great sing. Handel composed the work in 1738 and the intense oratorio includes the famous “Dead March”, a funeral anthem for Saul and his son Jonathon. Saul was recently performed to sell-out audiences in the Adelaide Festival, and Sydney Philharmonia Choirs Music Director, Brett Weymark, was Chorus Master. Brett will bring his extensive musical knowledge, wit and enthusiasm to the ChorusOz experience.
