| This September, Musicians without Borders Director, Laura Hassler, will return to Australia for a two-week speaking tour. Laura will be keynote speaker and presenter at a two-day conference at the University of Melbourne on “Peace, Empathy and Conciliation through Music.” In Sydney and Brisbane, music conservatoria, universities and the ASME (Australian Society for Music Education) will also host lectures on the work of Musicians without Borders in war-torn regions and with refugees in Europe. Our Australian friends and supporters are welcome to attend the following events to meet Laura and learn more about our work and how you can get involved: |
|
| In addition to these public events, Laura will be visiting MwB supporters and partners at the Townsville Grammar School-- whose music department has been organizing benefit concerts for MwB every year since 2011-- and on Gold Coast, with the inspiring Scattered People project. Watch the trailer for their documentary on using music to connect with and support refugees and asylum seekers in Australia: |
