Brief profile of the main artistes:
Kumari Deekshita Venkataraman, a Second Year undergraduate student
from Chennai, started learning under Smt Shanthi Jayaraman.
Subsequently she came under the tutelage of Smt Raji Gopalakrishnan
and Prof T R Subramanian. A graded artiste of the All India Radio,
Deekshita has performed in many Sabhas in India and has won many
awards and prizes
Kumari Anjani Srinivasan, +1 student from Chennai, is the disciple of
Smt. Kamala Aswaththama (mother of Veena E Gayathri). She had
presented her first performance in the year 2005 and since then has
given over 500 concerts in various Sabhas and other institutions in
India. She had participated in Abaswaram Ramjhi’s Balabrahmam
Programme and Sankara TV’s Balanadham programme. Anjani has won many
awards and prizes.
