An endeavour to promote young talent in classical music presents
An Exclusive 5 day Camp in Carnatic Music
This is a wonderful opportunity for students of carnatic music to
interact one on one and learn from 4 eminent carnatic musicians of
UAE, all in one platform.
Date : 16th March to 20th March 2012
Timings : 3 and half Hours every day for these 5 days 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Venue: A Block 406 Al Dhahiri Building, Opposite to Golden Sands 9,
Mankhool Area, Dubai
This is a wonderful opportunity for children who are pursuing higher
goals in carnatic music proficiency. Smt Hamsagayathri, Smt. Rajini
Shridhar, Smt. Suma Narayanan & Smt.Yamini Ramesh have kindly
consented to empower the students with specific areas of knowledge
like Lalgudi Varnams & Thillanas, Compositions of Oothukaadu Venkata
subba Iyer and kritis of the Tamil trinity (Marimuthu pillai,Muthu
thandavar,Arunachala Kavi) Sri. Purandaradaasa . This includes not
only learning the krithis but also a rare opportunity to get
some knowledge on various aspects of music like Voice culture,Good
singing practices etc .
Team Mohana also intends to have an exclusive follow up group
concert with the camp participants in the coming months. There shall
be certificates for all participating students and there shall be an
audio recording of the camp that shall be given to all participants at
the end of the camp.
