Obama/Gore rally and Sept. 27th fundraiser

Howdy-

Spoke with Ernest Chapman last night. I called and e-mailed JD
Souther with the rally and gig info and asked him to contact Rodney
Crowell. Ernest said his mom Beth will likely speak with Emmylou
Harris. I also spoke with Bobby Braddock who was very enthusiastic
about both events. I think Matraca Berg and Bill Lloyd are also on
board. Trying to get in touch with Raul Malo too. More later...

OK, back up a second.... what'd I miss?

What is the September 27th event? Obama/Gore? Does somebody know
something about the VP slot the rest of us haven't heard.

Is Barack actually coming to TN for an event?

Sorry, things have been moving fast. I'll send a note to the group soon, but
in brief:
Gore is hosting a big ticket meet obama thing at his house mid-August. Some
NLBO [nash loved b obama] people are trying to organize a music fundraiser
event at the same time. They have been helping us find venues and plan more
events.

MCC is organizing several other music fundraiser events in seopt/oct
including a big one 9/27 at the Mercy Lounge.

The silent auction is a huge maybe and I"m not involved with it at all. I
don't like silent auctions, personally.

How involved do you want to be (if at all) in planning or helping out with
any of this?
