Hi,

How do I tell my SIFT channel to not publish phone numbers that send
SMS/MMS? When dealing with a vulnerable user group we need to keep #s
unpublished by default.

Relatedly, how do I tell my SIFT channel to omit the "anonymous"
attribution on user submitted SMS?

Jean.

A: Unfortunately, you can't. This feature was never specified as
something you could turn on/or off. It's always on for every SIFT
channel.

attribution on user submitted SMS?

A: You can do this by creating a drupal userid and specifying the cell
phone number as follows:
i) login as a that user
ii) Click "My Account"
iii) Click the "Edit" tab
iv) Under "Mobile Information" fill in your mobile number under "Phone
number"
v) Click "Submit"

OK, for the record, then, I guess in the present case we'll have to
use dedicated Mobile Muse handsets. I'll comment that this is not a
great real-world solution for legacy, however. Anonymous SMS
submissions to a public feed seems to be a user requirement that
could've been easily anticipated. I presume there's a technical
problem with its implementation? Is this an issue that could be
recorded here in case someone wants to try and fix the issue later?

It would've been nice to keep people on their own handsets, but oh well.

Thanks for the clarifications!

Jean.
