to MUSE3 Platform
Here's what it does
SIFT aggregates emails, RSS Feeds with "tags" (e.g. all photos and
videos tagged "beijing08" for the Beijing Olympics), Text messages,
Picture messages (MMS), microblogging (e.g. Twitter) into a set of
RSS feeds called a "channel".

Here's why it's useful
SIFT enables you to collect social media about an event (e.g. a
Nordic World Cup race) or some topic of interest (e.g. the iPhone in
Canada) into a channel. The channel's combined RSS feed or one of the
channel's sub-feeds for text, photos and videos can then be displayed
and manipulated and processed by the myriad of tools (many of which
like Yahoo pipes require no software development) that process RSS
feeds.

Here are the requirements
If you are going to use SMS and/or MMS you need to purchase a SIM
card and then configure the Mobile Muse 3 Mobile Dialog component with
the SIM's phone number.
Other than that, the only other requirement is to have an event or
topic that has one or more "tag"s that users are using to tag content
on blogs, microblogs from Twitter, photos and videos from Google and
elsewhere.

Here are the dependencies (e.g. Mobile Dialog, etc.)

Again, you will have to configure the Mobile Muse 3 Mobile Dialog
component with your SIM's phone number if you use MMS or SMS
The SIFT Tool works with LiveCast's Mobile Muse 3 software component
for archiving of LiveCast streams so if you wish to use LiveCast, you
will have to configure that component.
Finally if you wish to use Location Based Services with SIFT, then
you can optionally configure the Mobile Muse 3 Location and Mapping
component with the locations for your event or topic.
