SNAPSHOT of
http://sites.google.com/a/raincitystudios.com/muse3-documentation/
as of January 28, 2009:
I. "Meta" screencast on how to acquire messaging interfaces AKA
service points aka phone numbers
1. Most Mobile apps involve mobile phones in 2009 and require text
and or picture messaging
2. SMS and MMS require a phone number for people to send text and
picture messaging to
3. The Muse3 platform uses an abstraction known as a "Service
Point" to allow you to change a number without changing the
application
4. E.g. Your App could have a text messaging service point known as
"Car Free Vancouver" for Car Free Vancouver
5. And then while you are testing and setting up application, the
"Car Free Vancouver" Service Point could point to a test phone number
and then for the live application event, the "Car Free Vancouver"
Service Point could point to a the production phone number i.e. the
phone number that you have advertised on all your promotional
material.
