Hello Everyone!
I am self-teaching myself to use DUEs. I’ve created a few VERY BASIC
ones to pull supratherapeutic INR stats, high/low vanco troughs, etc.
I present the percentages at P&T. (I will design more sophisticated
DUEs when I’ve learned enough to create a knowledge base to build upon
) Anyway, I have a blood sugar DUE that I cannot get to pull query
information. I know it requires a rule to refer to the query but I
don’t know how to build the rule. I’ve tried a few things and it is
still not inserting the info into my DUE. The nurses insert a blood
sugar value into a query called NURBSUGAR. I need my DUE to evaluate
the query and if the query info is below 60, pass the DUE. I
contacted Meditech and they could not help, they actually gave my name
to another hospital like I’m the expert and never answered my
task!!!! Not good. If any of you could help me with the rule to
reference a query I’d greatly appreciate it. Maybe if someone gave me
an example of one they use it could help me work through why mine is
not working. Thanks for the opportunity to be in this group.
