Hi Kelly,

 

I went out and checked our newborns and it appears that we do not fill in an ethnicity or language on the newborns (which explains why we typically run around 96%).  For your other question about if they are unable to respond, we actually made that a choice that is different than our refused/declined choice.  I have listed what we use below.

 

Mnemonic    Responses

 

H           Hispanic or Latino

N           Non-Hispanic or Latino

R           Refused/Declined

U           Unable to Obtain

Thanks, Sandy. Is your Ethnicity field required but just not for
newborn types?
