My only guess is that you really need to test the app with 2 devices. One creates a chat and another joins with the QR code. 

Not sure what to do in this case. I am pretty disappointed. Google really doesn't say what the requirements are so I am just guessing. Seems like a big ask to have testers use 2 accounts and 2 devices. I don't want to start another round of testing to find out I did something else wrong. 

If anyone has any ideas let me know. Otherwise than you for the help in this. I really appreciate the help.

Update: I’ve reset closed testing and simplified the app to make this easy.


There are only two screens. The Join Screen and the Chat Screen. (See chat screen below)

What to test (very quick):

• Please install from the opt-in link

• open the app

• join the test lobby

• post at least one message on the Murmur chat screen (everything is anonymous and  you can just post random characters if you want).

After that, just keep the app installed during the testing period. Thanks so much for helping 🙏
