Po'hurihanga married Maieke (Te Ngake). This tribe was already living
at Takapaukura. Of their four children - Taiko, Toroa, Whatakaimarie,
one daughter was names Muriwhenua after the statement her father made
when he landed on the land at the end... (of the journey). There is a
range of mountains called the 'sleeping lady' which are viewed on the
road towards Kapo Wairua. Although the woman Muriwhenua later left
her homeland to marry Rongokako, it is said, in the form of the
mountain, she is still with her people.
