I'm trying to understand why the Select Profiles menu has both "Touchscreen profile" and "Touchscreen (D-pad) profile." A profile that uses the D-pad can be assigned to either, both, or neither, and only the first one seems to be used.

Copying my question from here: https://www.reddit.com/r/EmulationOnAndroid/comments/1s25pdz/comment/oc5o72h/

r/EmulationOnAndroid - Why does M64Plus FZ have a separate d-pad profile?

If I want to use the D-pad in a game I have to go to the main settings and switch the touchscreen profile (not the touchscreen D-pad profile) to digital or everything. So what's the purpose of even having this second profile selection? It makes it look like it's supposed to automatically use the D-pad profile for certain games or at least provide a way to easily switch between the profiles while playing. Is there a way to use it?
