I have literally spent hours trying to find a solution to the Ubuntu Linux Mupen64Plus error that appears every time I try to play a Nintendo 64 game. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Sorry for probably being ignorant and/or stupid, I am new to this sort of software. Thanks for your time.

Type "ls -l *.z64".  Does it show a file called PaperMario.z64?  If not, you need to get this file in order to play it.  If you see this file in the list, copy and paste the whole line in a reply, because the permissions are probably set incorrectly.

"ls: cannot access *.z64: No such file on directory"
I tried it with the full file name as well, but it didn't show up there either...it's right there in my downloads folder though...

LOL solved problem
I went to the file and set it to open with Mupen64Plus and opened it; after that it worked fine. Guess I'll just do that from now on. :)
