Hello, I have been purchasing apps for my new hobby, retro-gaming. I
saw Mupen has an option for purchase but I am not completely sure if I
am going to use it or try something else. I have an annoying problem of
a side menu popping out every time I press my B button, which is a
button that normally would be used for game play, as I'm sure you know.
Also, with that button being taken up by the side bar menu, it also
leaves me without the use of the button for whatever any game would need
for one of the buttons to be used for. While playing Doom I had a fire
button and a way to open doors, but there was no way to swap weapons.
Actually one button would go to the fist but it would not go back to the
weapon.
While I'm certain that the B (back button) has something to do with the
way the game might have worked on an original controller for N64, it is
way too annoying for me to use and even attempt to play any games.
I am not up on key mapping and haven't found any useful guides on how to
fix this. I am curious if you might know of some way I can get rid of
that annoyance. The controllers I use are all on your list, but they all
work the same, with the B button being pretty much what I don't want it
to be. I have a 8bitdo 30 pro, an Xbox Wireless controller, and an
Nvidia Wireless controller which is made for the Shield. The Shield is
what I am attempting to play the games on. So far I have succeeded in
playing PS games, but weird back button issue is stopping me from
playing within the Mupen emulator.
Do you know of any guides that show how to remove the back button
problem? I tried doing that in settings, back button not opening the
menu, but that did not work. Thanks!
