Dear MUNTR enthusiasts,

 

Next week the MUNTR Platform will be holding its first ever training conference at the TOBB University Facilities in Ankara. EuroAsia MUN (http://euroasia.muntr.org ) offers two days of training, followed by two days of full-scale conference simulation to offer a condensed, first hand experience of what Model United Nations is.

 

If you are on this list, chances are you are already experienced in MUN. And we've prepared a special setting for you as well. EuroAsia MUN will bring together the very experienced with the very inexperienced to help spread the basic understanding of Model UN to the numerous newcomers we have on board. Such preparation will mean a better conference in March for MUNTR 2008, as well as a chance to network with like-minded individuals earlier in the year.

 

If you are experienced, then bring some friends along. EuroAsia will give them all the MUN information they need without you having to do any of the work. We'll even provide follow-up material for new delegates to take back to their schools and continue their MUN preparation on their own (of course we never lose touch with them). If you're inexperienced, then this conference is a fantastic opportunity to jump into the world of MUN and engage in this exciting world without the intimidation of veteran delegates barking at your every move.

 

Here are the important details:

 

Location: TOBB University (last right turn before Armada when going towards the city, at the Cevreyolu intersection).

 

Date/Time: October 26 - 29, 2007. Friday begins at 16:30, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday sessions are 09:00 - 17:00.

 

Registration: Online. Visit http://euroasia.muntr.org to register. You can pay the 10 YTL registration fee (which includes lunch for three days) when you come to TOBB.

 

Accommodation: If you're coming from outside Ankara, MUNTR has arranged for a very good deal with the hotel immediately opposite TOBB University for 20 YTL per room. 4-star hotel, breakfast included, 50YTL per person per night.
