JUNKIES
'Murder Junkies' is the seventh studio album by GG Allin and featuring
ANTiSEEN as band. This is GG Allin's final studio album to be released during
his lifetime. Jeff Clayton, lead singer of ANTiSEEN, has described this album
as a mixed blessing. Although he is very happy with the way it turned out, he
thinks that a lot of people got the impression that they are nothing more
than a backing band for GG Allin. Clayton has stated that GG Allin was very
professional during the recording of the album, and he wonders how much of GG
Allin's stage act was real and how much of it was "For The Marks".
Now this album is being released for the first time as it was originally
conceived, and it has been remastered in order to deliver the aggressive
sound which with it was recorded.

called "self-titled" as it seems to be very immediate and

musicians as comic-superheroes fighting our times of crisis, namely covid and
recent chaos and crisis, which is also processed in their music and lyrics.
The album starts off with the strong and powerful "Nóias Normais"
that gets you in that typical angry and unmistakable Autoramas mood right
away. Catchy melodies and vocals by both Gabriel Thomaz and Erika Martins run
all the way through the album while you get the right amount of wild and
Autoramas-distorted guitars, crazy organ and comic-style elements in songs
like "Boneco" and "Erupto". The album was released on CD
and vinyl on the Brazilian label Maxilar Music for the Brazilian market only,
while the Soundflat release of the LP finishes off with the exclusive bonus
track "I Wanna Be Your Man" - a very fierce and wild version of the
Beatles classic and a perfect ending to an explosive record to be played over
and over again.

interesting are the tracks where Booker T. switches over to piano and the

to London and formed CURTIS KNIGHT ZEUS, recruiting a young guitarist named
"Fast" Eddie Clarke (later of Motörhead fame). Sea Of Time was
recorded at Olympic Studios in 1973 but never actually released in the UK,
only in a few European countries. Psychedelic hard-rock with soul-funk

Pulliam was a funky singer-songwriter who could also swing the sweetest soul
west of Al Green. His handful of idiosyncratic 45 releases are crowned by the

City label. The hot news in funk and 70s soul circles has been the recent
discovery of Darondos Music City master tapes, throwing up two albums worth

Back in stock! The strange and majestic musical beast that is Africadelic was
Dibango's follow-up to Soul Makossa, but it was initially released on Louis
Delacour's library music label, Mondiaphone, before "Soul Makossa"
became an international phenomenon. As a Mondiaphone release, it was aimed at
television and film producers seeking atmospheric background music, so the
original titles are simply "Theme No 1," "Theme No 2,"
etc, with corresponding rhythmic notations such as "3&4
Africain," "Afro Beat 12&8" and "Medium Soul
Beat," though once "Soul Makossa" hit the stratosphere,
subsequent reissues bore actual song titles. In any case, the album is simply
wonderful, a driving mix of Afro soul, funk and jazz, with an undercurrent of
Latin percussion throughout, given further shades by rock guitar and soul
organ, as heard on "African Battle" and the title track< opener
"Soul Fiesta" builds dramatic percussive tension before Dibango
drops a killer vibraphone riff, while "African Carnival" makes the
most of the full horn section, Dibango's sax soloing giving room for complex
polyrhythmic percussion breaks. "Oriental Sunset" has beautiful
vibraphone from Dibango too, as well as a thrilling flute melody,
"Monkey Beat" and "Wa Wa" are funky soul struts and
"Percussion Storm" has the band marching off into the African
sunset as Dibango unleashes another killer vibraphone melody. Listening back
to the album now, it is hard to believe that the whole shebang was written in
a couple of days and committed to tape within the space of a week, but that
is all more testimony to the greatness of Manu Dibango, one of African
music's true pioneers. Play loud and
often for best effect!

deep on the American scene - a bit of New Orleans soul, a dose of New York
soul jazz, all filtered together with a London appreciation of the best
elements of both, and delivered with a tightness that almost beats out most
US recordings that even try to come close! The collection does a great job of
avoiding material already compiled on the Polydor Fame set from years back -
and really goes for upbeat, hard-grooving numbers that show why Georgie's
music had such a big role in the hippest sides of the London scene of the
60s.

Sweden's supreme indierockers (back then it was called emocore) who with
their Do Not Tailgate Album won a grammis (Swedish grammy), got signed to
Rick Rubin and his American recordings toured the American Loolapaloza
circus. To support their ever so heavy touring and please the ever demand
from radio they had a flood of singles with exclusive b-sides recorded to
them. B-sides was dead serious, full on studio recordings, no holding back or
left overs. This is some of the best material ever of the band. Originally
released a 2CD with covers here shorten down to the 11 first tracks of the

Pello Joxepe is in the bar, but this time he's moving his hips to the sound
of Curtis Mayfield's Superfly funk-soul Groove. These are the kind of
psychedelic visions created by this esoteric "Akelarre Sorta", an
unparalleled gem. The African American saxophonist, pianist and composer
William S. Fischer, who worked in the 1950s with stars of the stature of Ray
Charles, Muddy Waters, Joe Zawinul and Roberta Flack, in 1972 made an album
of catchy, funky versions of popular tunes. And that's it, as simple as it is
mysterious and surprising. Little more has ever been known about this
recording or about the reasons behind William's visit to the Basque Country.
So here it is, ready to attract a new audience to join the cult following it
has gradually built up over nearly 50 years. Warning: Try it once and you'll
be hooked.

VARIOUS - LET'S DO THE BOOGALOO

Repress! The boogaloo is an infectious and little/defined dance that
dominated American dance records in the mid/60s. It was the joyous place where
young black and latin youths met and made sweet music. All previous Boogaloo
compilations have focused on the latin aspect, "Let's Do The
Boogaloo" looks at how the music crossed over between the two. The
boogaloo craze started in Chicago with a record by Tom ^ Jerryo, but it
proved to have an enduring legacy with its hit/making potential running from
1965 through to 1968 - much longer than any other comparable dance. Our
earliest records - The infectious eady Steady Go' by Prince ^ Princess,
produced by Rolling Stones producer Jimmy Miller - kicks us off with a
frenetic beat and some latin horns. It is the perfect boogaloo crossover.
Elsewhere we feature big sounds from both the soul and latin side of
the music. Club classics by the likes of Hector Rivera and Roy Lee Johnson,
and obscurities by The PS 54 School Yard and Shirley Butler. The musical
aspects of this compilation hail from as far apart as Texas and Detroit and
Philadelphia and LA, where we found the previously unreleased Bob ^ Earl Band
[1]oogaloo'. The extensive sleeve notes explain the story of the dance
and how the music adapted to it. Bringing together the many strands and
explaining what connects Chubby Checker, Charlie Palmieri, Mongo Santamaria
and Jimmy Castor. This is musical and dancefloor dynamite that brought
together communities, and "Let's Do The Boogaloo" is the definitive

opener for 14 of the most deranged tracks that you can find. One of the best
selling Big Beat releases, this LP is a tribute to the sheer insanity of rock
& roll. The Sonics "Psycho", The Novas - "The
Crusher", Legendary Stardust Cowboy - "Paralysed" - the titles
say it all. Link Wray chewing the blues and spitting out Willie Dixon's
"Hidden Charms" (charms??????!!!) and our very own Milkshakes
taking on the aforementioned Link Wray on "Run Chicken Run". Apart
from that you still get The Cramps with Jimmy Dickinson ripping up Sonny
Burgess's "Red Headed Woman", Britain's psychobilly kings The
Meteors with a live "My Daddy Is A Vampire" and "Radioactive
Kid" along with the late great Gun Club, Tav Falco's Panther Burns with
their finest destructobilly and two other bands of this parish the Sting-Rays
and The Guana Batz. As it says - 'Not suitable for children' - some of this
stuff should never have been let out of its box in the First place - that's
why we love it so!!

VIBRAVOID - PHASENVOID (2LP)
It's in the Düsseldorf genes that Vibravoid puts art before commerce. Refer
to the aspect as laid in the Creamcheese in 1967. Germany's first psychedelic
discotheque with Gerhard Richter, Joseph Beuys, Günther Ücker, Kraftwerk and
NEU! who created Düsseldorf blueprints of art and pop culture. For several
years, Vibravoid have taken over the artistic direction of Creamcheese, which
was honored in the Guggenheim Museum, for example, and revived as a major art
happening in collaboration with H.A. Schult. Phasenvoid also includes a
fortunately preserved Vibravoid interview from 1997, which paints a
first-hand picture of the 1990s that is unknown today and is of inestimable
value to music historians. Whether vinyl records. Kraut and Psychedelic Rock,
Theremin, Sitar, Light Show and the Underground - if you are looking for the
beginnings of the current music scene, you will find them here... and it may
surprise many that terms like 'Psych', Stoner or Doom had no relevance at
that time and so ilustrate the pioneering achievements of Vibravoid.

EGUN ARGI HARTAN
After the well-earned Adarra prize awarded by San Sebastián city council in
2021, the name of Amaia Zubiria is back on people's lips, one of the most
outstandingly beautiful voices in the history of folk and Basque music in
general. In fact, thanks to the albums recorded with Haizea and with Txomin
Artola and many other collaborations, she has been a constant presence in a
long, fruitful career spanning over 40 years. However, despite this
popularity, much of her extensive body of work is unknown or remains almost
forgotten, apart from four or five records and her most popular songs. This
is a shame, because her forgotten back catalogue contains many of Amaia's most
moving songs. Among them, as a taster and an invitation to get into her
music, we encourage you to listen to the enchanting "Itxasoan laino
dago", recorded together with Pascal Gaigne in 1985. A track featuring
the electronic sounds created with great care by Pascal and adorned by Michel
Doneda's saxophone and guided with a magical sophistication by the talented
sound engineer from Hendaye, Jean Phocas. It is an impossibly beautiful melt
of avant garde and traditional music.

An expanded edition of 'Salt Marie Celeste', originally in 2003 by Steven
Stapleton's legendarily prodigious experimental music project Nurse With
Wound. The hour-long drone composition 'Salt Marie Celeste' is accompanied by
the track 'Salt', recorded the previous year by Stapleton and Colin Potter as
a musical piece for an art installation that he had at London's Horse
Hospital.
