ENTRADAS EN FAMILIA NUEVAS ENTRADAS EN DISTRIBUCIÓN - Single (7") Vampisoul / Munster | | Jonathan Richman's classic 'Egyptian Reggae' has been responsible for setting thousands of discerning dance floors on fire. After getting the obvious Jah twist on a few occasions, so we thought it was about time for the Richman's song to receive a fun yet respectful cumbia treatment! This cumbia candy has been recorded in Lima by no other than Pancho Acosta, founder and guitarist of Compay Quinto, and one of the greatest cumbia guitar players in Peru. On the flip side we find one of Acosta's own original songs, 'Carnaval de Jujuy', recorded by Austin-based future-cumbia group Money Chicha. TRACKLIST Side A PANCHO ACOSTA - EGYPTIAN REGGAE Side B MONEY CHICHA - CARNAVAL DE JUJUY | | | | | We are thrilled to present the historical rescue of the only existing recording of Antihéroes, yet another mystery of the Argentine musical underground scene of the 80s, now available on vinyl for the first time. This obscure post punk band show their harshness and darkness in these only two songs they recorded, back in 1985, and which were distributed on a cassette that has today achieved cult status. This release is the result of the collaborative work between Twistin' Bones (Costa Rica) and Munster Records. TRACKLIST Side A PRESENTES URBANIZADOS Side B ALGO NOS SUCEDE
NUEVAS ENTRADAS - LP (Album) Vampisoul / Munster | | "Aguaturbia" (1970) is an essential album to understand the construction of what we know today as Chilean rock. This very influential album is raw and dynamic, featuring heavy rhythms, distortion, and exceptional phased female vocals reminiscent of Jefferson Airplane. It comprises original compositions and electrifying renditions of songs brought to fame by the likes of Tommy James & The Shondells, The Beatles and, of course, Jefferson Airplane elevating these classics to new heights of intensity and rhythmic allure. We are thrilled to make this outstanding LP available again after many years out of stock. TRACKLIST Side A 1. BABY B.A.B.Y. (Carla Thomas) 2. EROTICA 3. They comprise twenty-two songs by seventeen artists who recorded on the remarkable local label MAG more than five decades ago and now invite today's new generations to dance body and soul to these re/releases. You will find outstanding tracks by the likes of Tito Chicoma, Melcochita, Los Kintos, Otto Rojas, Coco Lagos among many others. MAG was one of the most important and prolific labels in Peru and, though it also was involved in releasing a lot of other types of music, its specialty was the tropical variety, which coincidentally, DJs and collectors seem to crave most TRACKLIST Side A 1. NUEVAS ENTRADAS EN DISTRIBUCIÓN | | Bernadine or Berna-Dean Washington recorded seven singles for producer Dave Bartholomew in New Orleans in the early 60s. A protégée of Earl King, her final single was released on Los Angeles' GNP Crescendo label in 1964 and is stylistically similar to her previous Imperial and Post 45s. 'Don't Try To Tell Me' and 'Laughing On The Outside' were cut for GNP but the company never followed up on her 'This Is The City' single. | | | | | The Bo Street Runners formed in 1964 and made their name playing at the Railway Hotel in Harrow - the same venue where The Who made their name. They recorded a super rare self funded EP on OAK before signing to Decca after winning the Ready Steady Win! competition. Their debut single was the Bo Diddley inspired 'Bo Street Runner' with its frenetic Harmonica. When this didn't chart the band's contract was sold to Columbia who released their final three singles. The pick of these was the jazzy 'Baby Never Say Goodbye' - which featured Mick Fleetwood on drums, on his way to greater success elsewhere. | | | | 5020422062474 DAMAGED GOODS | Two tracks by The Courettes on PINK coloured vinyl. Both tracks also feature on the band's 2024 album, 'The Soul Of... The Fabulous Courettes', in slightly different form! | | | | | Loose Lips are a RocknRoll trio delivering earworm hooks in a boogie woogie flavour that will make you Holla, Shake AND Shout! Featuring members of The Unknowns/The Chats, The Prize and Chubby and the Gang.. | | | | | Two unreleased songs from Australia by the kings of melodic bubble-punk. | | | | | Both tracks were taken from the group's self-titled debut album, originally released on John Curd's Head label, and 'House Without Windows' has never appeared on 7-inch single before. 'Egyptian Tomb' was released in France and Holland, but at over 5 minutes long and cut at 45, sound quality perhaps suffered a little bit on those super-rare original releases, so on this reissue it is cut at 33RPM for extra oomph! Presented in the distinctive 'Mod Classics' geometric housebag, pressed on distinctive white vinyl, and limited to 500 copies. | | | | | Miss Louistine's version of 'Con Me' was one of the best Deep Soul finds of recent years. The Paragons' smooth Chicago reading of Dees' composition that came out in 1975 has long been admired, but this southern soul treatment of the now-classic is jaw-dropping. To really focus on the masterpiece of a song, we have added Dees own take as the flip. That also remained unissued until Kent accessed the tapes in 1998 and is finally a single. | | | | | The mysterious and oddly named Soul Interiors recorded two terrific sides for Mickey Stevenson in 1972, 'The Inside Guys'- a sublime dancer and the deep soul harmony of 'My Friend Heartaches'. | | | | | Little needs to be said about these two Mirwood Monsters, but to have both tracks on the same 45 is a righteous luxury. 'That Beatin' Rhythm' is the epitome of the Northern Soul dance scene and has been a call to the floor for fifty years now. The instrumental flip (credited to the actual singer of the A side) was equally massive at the time, but has been somewhat neglected in recent years - the vocal version gaining most DJ spins.
| 4059251655992 VIER PROMILLE | Reissue! powerful and very well produced Oi! punk songs by this Duesseldorf based German outfit. Sometimes harder, sometimes softer, sometimes male, sometimes female vox. | | | | | Essential collection of demos and acetates (1968-69) by psychedelic hard-rock & proto-prog British band Andromeda, mostly done by their original line-up: John Cann on guitar & vocals, Mick Hawksworth on bass and Jack McCulloch (brother of guitar player Jimmy McCulloch) on drums. Out of print since 1990, this new, improved edition fixes some credits & tracklisting mistakes of the original release and includes a new insert with liner notes & photos. Cover illustration by Micah Ulrich. Raw psychedelic hard-rock with John Cann's guitar on fire. | | | | | ANGELIC UPSTARTS - LOST & FOUND Formed in the northeast town of South Shields in 1977, punk&Oi! band Angelic Upstarts recorded two studio albums for Warner Brothers and two for EMI's Zonophone subsidiary before being dropped by the latter. Work was begun on an abortive fifth studio album that forms the bulk of the brilliant Lost And Found, with superior versions of Last Tango In Moscow material featuring the classic Upstarts line up of Mensi/Mond/Glyn/Decca. Live tracks from the Main Event gig at the London Astoria have Mensi/Hayes/Ronnie Rocker/Max Splodge. This is required listening for all Upstarts fans. Thoroughly excellent! | | | | | Repress!! Clear vinyl. This is Dorothy Ashby's debut album, originally released in 1957 by the Regent label. Recognized as the woman who gave the harp a Jazz Voice, here Ashby is at the head of a highly distinctive combo featuring Frank Wess on flute, Eddie Jones or Wendell Marshall on bass and master Ed Thigpen on drums. The Jazz Harpist is an unprecedented mix of evocative classic sounds and jazz soul, awarded by Allmusic as her first and best album, period! | | | | | Recorded live at MTV Unplugged, New York, November 7, 1994. | | | | 8055515234060 DESTINATIONMOON | In clear vinyl. 1957s With His Hot And Blue Guitar is the debut album of country and rock and roll pioneer and all around American hero, Johnny Cash. Featuring his backing band, The Tennessee Two, the album includes all time classics like "Hey Porter", "The Wreck Of The Ol 97", and "Folsom Prison Blues". The beginnings of an American country hero also happens to be some of the finest recordings of his career, absolutely stellar Southern Americana. Two of these songs would become their first 7-inch. In 1996 the Chems recorded demos for what would be their last album, "Arpeggio Motorcade" for Cruz. These demos, along with some live recordings from the 90s, are featured together on this album for the first time ever. Double sided insert with exclusive liner notes from Dave Naz included. | | | | | The record, produced by the legendary Mike Mariconda (The Raunch Hands, New Bomb Turks, Cosmic Psychos, Powder Monkeys) offers the best tunes and performances these five Spaniards have achieved in their whole history. Los Chicos, the TRUE Kings Of The Party, are back in the night with a stupendous new record that propels them to the next rhythm punk garage country rock and soul roll frontier!! | | | | | Considered the first punk band in Detroit, the ironic power-pop-punk quartet Cinecyde launched Tremor Records in 1977 to handle their own work, issuing several singles and EPs before cutting this dynamite debut long-player in 1982. Arguably the band's best release, the album captured Cinecyde at its tightest and made clear that the sound was all their own, the players directing their raw power into unusual power-pop song structures, the high level of musical skill and cliche-free lyrics relegating the output to a unique category. This is a must-have for fans of the group and all lovers of intelligent, non-standard Midwest punk! | | | | | The time was right when Joe Strummer and Joe Simonon of The Clash decided to take the so-called long and winding road. This famous show at the Station Pub in Gateshead was more than an intimate affair. And it was part of the acoustic busking tour the band took after the release of their latest studio album, Cut The Crap. This set is dated May 11, 1985, and it's a brilliant example of the rootsy folk heritage the two were delivering at the time. This particular recording was produced while the band was performing outside The Station in Gateshead, Newcastle in front of what sounds like a lucky 50 or so people! You hear a single acoustic guitar with some clavinets or wood blocks clapping out the beat...and then the reaction from the crowd in -between. The sound is crisp and clear even if the band was playing 'off-mike'. A rarity in its own. | | | | | The Specials shook up the British music scene in 1979 when their blend of English punk and Jamaican ska took the nation by storm. The Dawning of a New Era collects the legendary 1978 demos, cut when the group was known as The Automatics, with Silverton Hutchinson on drums and before the arrival of Neville Staples. Favourites such as 'Night Klub,' 'Too Much Too Young,' 'Stupid Marriage,' 'Concrete Jungle,' 'Blank Expression' and the title track are here presented in rougher, spikier arrangements, much of the work-in-progress referencing the reggae stylings of the late 1960s and early 70s. A must for all Specials fans! | | | | | Promoter Bill Graham announced the lineup for the final week of San Francisco's Fillmore West one day after he closed New York's Fillmore East. He ended three years of historic shows with five nights of music billed as 'the bands that built the Fillmore'. The final night, July 4, 1971, featured Santana, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Tower of Power. Camera crews recorded the week's events for the documentary Last Days of the Fillmore | | | | | Back in stock! Dead Cross are a hardcore punk supergroup lead by Faith No More's Mike Patton. They also include Slayer/Mr. Bungle/Fantômas drummer Dave Lombardo among their ranks. 'Dead Cross II' is the follow-up to their 2017 eponymous debut. The album sees the band revelling in playing pummeling hardcore punk and thrash metal | | | | 0637913065897 MIND CONTROL | DIRE STRAITS - INSIDE THIS EMPTY HOUSE -LIVE WERCHTER 1981 Dire Straits' live performance at Werchter Festival, Belgium, on July 5th, 1981, showcased the band's tight musicianship and Mark Knopfler's signature guitar mastery. Their setlist, filled with classics like 'Tunnel of Love' captivated the crowd and solidified their place in rock history. | | | | | Repress! Formed in the northern industrial town of Stoke on Trent in 1977, Discharge changed punk with its distinctive brand of hardcore, making minimalist music with distorted guitar, drone-like bass, shouted anarchist themes and propulsive drumming, known as D-Beat. Originally issued in 1987, this killer compilation charts the best of their early years with Clay Records, from the full-on assault of Realities of War, passing the chart-topping Why?, to the shrieking sounds of Grave New World, which edged further into metal territory. Listen and be awed by the power and the glory of one of the most influencial punk and metal bands ever. Gatefold! | | | | 0760137166054 BLUES FUNERAL | Elephant Tree and Lowrider have seized the opportunity to redefine who they are and declare where their musical voyages will go next with the collaborative album The Long Forever. The Long Forever finds both bands at critical junctures: each has a broad and expanding influence, each is revered onstage and off, and each is delivering its first proper new release in four years to tremendous anticipation. Bringing these bands onto a shared collaborative platter would be an event regardless of the surrounding circumstances, but the significance of this album is even greater. | | | | | In 1967, in the midst of Franco's dictatorship, a group of seminarians created a rock band: Enarak. Faced with a society that found these rhythms strange, they had the courage to play blues, psychedelia and progressive rock in Basque. In 1969 they recorded an album with three songs and, over the next four years, they gave hundreds of concerts all over the Basque Country. The last one, in Larraitz, in the shadow of Mount Txindoki, on 31 October 1971. On a cold, misty night lit by a full moon, they brought together some 5,000 young people with the intention of enjoying modern music. After that night, they disappeared forever. Their only traces are the three songs you will find on this album. With the aim of recovering and making the history of the group known, the Bira Produkzioak cooperative has produced a documentary entitled 'Enarak'. Using the power of cinema for social transformation, we are organising a concert on 21 May 2023. Again in Larraitz, Amorante, Rüdiger and Liher covered the three songs of Enarak. This is not just an album or a concert in the usual way. It is an exorcism, a ritual for the resurrection of Enarak, a historical piece and, at the same time, an object of memory that encapsulates the soul of the group. TRACKLIST A: Enarak (HG-13 EP. As well as being one of a small group of artists who expanded the growth of the soul albums market, Ike was a consistently successful singles artist, who placed 16 consecutive 45s on the R&B chart between 1969 and 1976 - most of which also crossed over to pop. Extensively annotated, handsomely illustrated and coming to you in a package that an artist of Ike's stature thoroughly deserves. | | | | 0694685735366 HEAVYPSYCHSOUNDS | Three years after appearing on Doom Sessions Vol 5 split, High Reeper are back with their most ambitious album yet, "Renewed By Death". Cut from masters approved by Robert Fripp by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering. | | | | | Kuro is one of the best Japanese hardcore bands of all time. While they never released an album, their Who the Helpless 8" EP is one of the most feral and crushing early Japanese hardcore records. The sound resembles Fuckheads-era Gauze or G-Zet in that you can tell Discharge is the base of the soup, but the playing is more precise, a little cleaner, and with an emphasis on heaviness and grit rather than pure density. People often remark that there's a Motorhead-esque quality to a lot of the best Japanese hardcore, and that's the case here, though the vocals are shredded, up there with John Brannon or Jerry A in intensity. | | | | 7427255404125 SOLID ROOTS | Essential reissue for this rare album of dub instrumental reggae tunes recorded by Tommy McCook (on sax, The Skatalites) and Bobby Ellis (trumpet, The Upsetters, The Aggrovators) in 1977. Originally licensed on Grove Music this amazing set features the likes of Sly and Robbie, Ansel Collins (organ), Clinton Fearon- from The Gladiators - on lead guitar and Bernard Harvey - of The Wailers fame - on piano. Recorded at Channel One and mixed at King Tubby Studio, the album was engineered by Yabby You and Barnabas. | | | | 0825764193016 NUMERO GROUP | The Hebrew surf-grunger returns! End of Teenage captures Charlie Megira's Berlin years with the Bet She'an Valley Hillbillies, shortly before his death. A time-traveling, five-song murder mystery guitar album that owes as much to Dick Dale as it does David Lynch. This expanded 10 year anniversary edition also includes the 11-song demo, where Megira's familiar themes of drive-inn melancholia, beach blanket bongos, and desert drifting are explored in the privacy of his bedroom. Let him whisper in your ear. | | | | | BACK IN PRINT! Originally released in 2011, this 12-inch release features (at the time) re-recorded versions of the Misfits fan faves 'Twilight Of The Dead' and 'Land Of The Dead'. This is horror punk at its most terrifying! | | | | 7427255404132 SOLID ROOTS | A very welcomed reissue for this rare Jackie Mittoo album, originally released in 1979 on unknown label, Rite Sound inc. The original release was sold without a jacket (maybe a promo only release ?), adding a mysterious vibe to the whole thing. The dubby effect-intensive sound of the album extends from ussian Satelite' to the whole side A, with 'arder Than The Rest', tepping Tiger' and orld Of Love' being an excellent triptych of note. The thrill of Jackie's crazy keyboards intertwining with the floating dub sound like a heavenly space is beyond description. Space is the place. | | | | | For the first time on vinyl, compilation LP with all the singles to date from this killer punk-new wave Aussie band. Based in Sydney and London, the two duelling songwriter/singer/guitarists bash out self produced tunes that slide in somewhere between the melodic choruses of THE BUZZCOCKS and THE CURE, the bratty classic punk of SEX PISTOLS, THE JAM, THE VOIDOIDS and THE RAMONES, the Antipodean guitar assault of The Angels and AC/DC and the spiky angular subversiveness of WIRE and GANG OF FOUR. | | | | | Danish psychobilly trio Nekromantix formed in Copenhagen in 1989, melding heavy metal and some Goth underpinnings in their style. After a well-received debut via Tombstone, the band reached greater heights with Curse Of The Coffin for Nervous Records, perceptively produced by Micky Mutant of Meteors fame. With frontman Kim Gaarde playing a coffin-shaped bass, Pete Sandorff shredding speed-metal riffs on his guitar and drummer Peek never letting the pace drop below feverish, Curse Of The Coffin is a wild ride that redefined the psychobilly genre, making Nekromantix leading lights of the second wave. A true killer! | | | | | First ever reissue of this elusive private pressing from 1970 by British singer/songwriter Keith Noble (a founding member of pre-Pink Floyd bands Sigma 6 & The Abdabs and co-composer of Chad & Jeremy's hit 'A Summer Song'). Mr. Compromise, originally released as a tiny demo pressing on the custom Eden label (home also of other psych-folk rarities like Mourning Phase), showcases the versatile songwriting talent of Noble: jazzy-bossa pop, Kinks/Hollies/Byrds styled full electric numbers and haunting psychedelic folk not unlike Al Stewart or Incredible String Band. Remastered sound. Original artwork in hard cardboard sleeve. Insert with detailed liner noted by Richard Allen and photos. Download card. | | | | | The first punk band from Peterborough, northwest of Cambridge, the Now spun off from the Faderz, with singer Mike McGuire, guitarist Steve Rools, drummer Joe MacColl and bassist Paul Wicks, later replaced by Faz Farrow. Debut 45 'Development Corporation' charted, but the band split after 'Into The 80s': in 2002, German label Last Year's Youth re-released the 45s, which led to Here Come The Now, where vintage songs share space with the re-formed band's new takes of earlier work, a best-of-both-worlds approach that puts everything together in one place. A must for all fans of the Now and lovers of intelligent British punk! | | | | 7640148983457 VOODOO RHYTHM | OH TELEPHONE, on the other hand, is the real shit, garage/psych like no other band currently plays. Their screams never seem calculated but rather like a spontaneous outburst of passion, their guitars pierce every eardrum with a few effect devices standing around, it's not shoegaze that's being practiced, but rather tap dancing. Watch out! Celebrate! | | | | 7427255404118 COSMIC ROCK | Reissue of the Californian psychedelic band's only album released on Acta records in 1968. Their sound was influenced by early Rolling Stones and Yardbirds (not coincidentally, guitarist Randy Holden, later on also in Blue Cheer, was offered to replace Jeff Beck). Their name gained attention after their single 'Mr. Pharmacist' was included in the famous Nuggets collection. | | | | | One of the most intense and wild grindcore bands coming from USA lately are P.L.F. (PRETTY LITTLE FLOWER). This is their 4th. full lenght with 15 ultra fast and noisy grindcore with some metal elements. Complete devastation for sure. | | | | | Volume 1 of this impressive collection chronicling the lesser known recording side of the Kings of New York. After a debut single in 1977, forward/thinking Edinburgh punk band The Rezillos signed to Sire, leading the band to record their acclaimed debut Can't Stand the Rezillos in New York, where co-produced Bob Clearmountain drew out the best of their abilities. The anthemic 'Top of the Pops' reached the UK top-20 and spirited punk covers of The Dave Clark Five's 'Glad All Over,' Gerry & The Pacemakers' Like It' and Fleetwood Mac's omebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight' added to the appeal. The band would soon split and reform as The Revillos, but nothing beats the power of this unmatched debut LP. 4 bonus tracks included, great stuff! | | | | | Catalonian Death Metal brutes Sanctuarium have already give us a superb demo, split and more recently a crushing debut album. Now they return with a sophomore slice of savagery for you to sink your rotting teeth into. Gut/busting bass lines and skeletally fragmenting drums hit with all of the bludgeoning morbid force you can imagine. Combining this with ossuary/opening guitar and zombified vocals and you have the utterly disgusting template for Sanctuarium's signature soundscape. Doom/laden, creeping and crawling Death Metal with the most fetidly raw feeling to it that is as oppressive as it is aggressive with such a stifling atmosphere like the air escaping from a broken tomb. In a world where so many things feel polished and frankly insincere, sometimes the underground spews up a band to right these wrongs and take Death Metal back to being unforgiving, dark and revolting like it used to be. | | | | | Repress! Formed in the early 70s by the three Kim brothers while they were still in University, Sanullim managed to release their first album in 1977 despite censorship, misunderstanding from their record company and rudimentary recording techniques problems. Fuelled by piercing psychedelic fuzz guitars, Farfisa styled garage organ, keyboards and sweet melodies, the created a very unique sound, unheard in Korea at the time. Including some of their most iconic songs like "Already Now" and "Likely Late Summer" famous for its inclusion on the "Love, Peace & Poetry" series. Original artwork in hard cardboard sleeve. Sourced from the original masters. Insert with liner notes by Hugh Dellar (Shindig!) and rare photos & memorabilia. | | | | | Repress! This is their second album, originally released in 1978. It opens with the incredible title track, featuring an extended noisy fuzz guitar intro and which would become one of their most famous songs, especially live. The Kim brothers also dwell into abrasive garage-psych ("Let's Sing") melancholic fuzz ballads ("A Flower Blooming In The Haze") and more! Fuzzed out psychedelia of the highest order by Korean legends SANULLIM. Original artwork in hard cardboard sleeve. Sourced from the original masters. Insert with liner notes and rare photos & memorabilia. | | | | | Denmark's death/grinding brutes Septage blazed a trail in the underground with two lacerating EP's and a split with Hyperdontia. Now they present their decayed debut full length via Me Saco Un Ojo Records, Dark Descent and Extremely Rotten. Abrasive noise and ecstatic grooves intertwine in a rotten cacophony, swaying like a bloated carcass in a stagnating swamp pool. The fetid hooks and miasmic spew of Septage's rancid music instantly permeate the air with an odour of decompositional fluids. Ravenous vocals flood the gargantuan instrumentals with even more primitive aggression, ensuring a visceral experience across the board. Their septic splendour knowing no remorse, expect to have your skull trepanned by each of this vicious pieces of musical disgust. Still surviving_ That is quite unfortunate. Septage will fix that. If your cranium can withstand the bludgeoning bubonic death metal, then the piercing drill of grinding fury will surely remove any slimy grey brain matter that lives on. Across these 15 songs of sewer/ridden sadism, Septage show that their EP's were not mere lightning in a bottle, but a promise for one of the most deranged and malicious debut albums of the grindcore world. Destroying all opposition, gurgling in their own rancid offal, this trio form something inarguably unpleasant on the air. Torture yourself with the infectious sounds of "Septic Worship". | | | | | This records which represents the complete discography of State of Fear couldn't have come at a better time with the current hardcore&crust scene in the U.S. on the rise once again. A new generation of punks have scoured the filthy depths of the genre to find the classics, and State Of Fear ticks every box of a classic hardcore band. Formed from the ex-members of Disrupt and Deformed Conscious, State Of Fear adopted a more streamlined hardcore attack than that of either of their former bands, but kept intact the political and dark themes of the crust bands they had come from. This was hardcore made by fans of Swedish bands like Skitlickers, Mob 47, Anti-Cimex, and although they definitely wear their influences on their sleeve, they created a sound which was enigmatically their own. Entering the scene in the heyday of the Minneapolis crust explosion spearheaded by Profane Existence in 1994, they immediately made their mark with powerful live showings and a no-bullshit delivery. Volume 1 includes the self titled debut, and the infamous 'Wallow in Squalor' EP's, State Of Fear showcase a devastating combination of speed and memorable riffs not seen by another band in America since. Songs like 'Blood Thirsty System', 'Violation', or 'Consumption' emboldened a generation of punks in the '90s, while confirming their feelings of rage at the political system in place, which sadly still stands today. These songs aren-t going to lose appeal until the blood thirsty system falls. Sonarize Records has added a large format 12 page booklet that includes a biography, interviews, lyrics, and hard to find photos of the band. | | | | | As outlined in the description of Volume I State Of Fear had set out on a hardcore path widely copied but never matched throughout 1994-1996. It's in this period that they attempt their first full length LP which although marred by recording issues and personnel changes, would go on to be regarded by most as an contender for one of the best LPs of the 1990s in the hardcore punk genre. Volume 2 is this stand/alone LP by the band and features the original artwork of Marald who has also gone on to a famed career in the fine art world, this includes a large 4 page booklet with all lyrics included, and an A2 poster. Both Vol. 1 and 2 have been remastered by Jack Control for the highest sound quality possible. These are definitive documents of one of the best hardcore bands to exist. | | | | | The ninth studio album by American crossover band Suicidal Tendencies. It was released in 1999 on Suicidal Records. The tracks are rawer than the funk-influenced thrash metal direction they were taking before the hiatus. The album's cover art is a reference to the photo Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima taken during World War II. | | | | | The eighth studio album by American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, which was released in 1994. It is their sixth full-length album with original material, and their last album to feature lead guitarist Rocky George and bassist Robert Trujillo as well as their only one to feature drummer Jimmy DeGrasso. Suicidal for Life was also Suicidal Tendencies' final studio album released on Epic Records and their last one before their temporary breakup in 1995-1996. | | | | 0694685735441 HEAVYPSYCHSOUNDS | The name might be the Sun and Sail club, but you'll find no yacht rock here. Instead of Michael McDonald, we have Bad Brains. Kenny Loggins? Hall and Oats? More like Matt Pike and Lemmy Fucking Kilmister. "The Great White Dope" is featuring members of Kyuss, Fu Manchu, and the Adolescents, containing 10 riff-filled tracks of high energy, bullshit-free punk and sleaze. The song writing on ¶he Great White Dope' steers away from the experimental direction of their previous release, and it-s laser focused on one thing: unapologetically rocking your face off. The vocoder is gone and they've recruited singer Tony Adolescent, who delivers balls to the wall vocals with no added effects or frills. The production, like the music itself, is loud, heavy, and beautifully simple. | | | | 0694685735403 HEAVYPSYCHSOUNDS | REISSUE of the Sun and Sail Club debut album and new artwork. Not surprisingly, "Mannequin" spearheads the obvious future and progression of hard rock fury, bringing to the table the true professionalism and mastery, and dynamic musicianship that has been on full display from Fu Manchu, Kyuss and The Obsessed in years past, but also adds a completely new level of precision, technicality and accuracy to make an album that is almost completely flawless from start to finish. | | | | 0694685735489 HEAVYPSYCHSOUNDS | After a nine year hiatus SUN AND SAIL CLUB are back and they've come back swinging! This album is more aggressive than the previous album, as if that was even possible. Same line-up as before featuring Scott Reeder (FU MANCHU/SMILE) on drums, Scott Reeder (KYUSS/THE OBSESSED&FIREBALL MINISTRY) on bass, Bob Balch (FU MANCHU/SLOWER/BIG SCENIC NOWHERE/YAWNING BALCH) on guitar and Tony Adolescent (THE ADOLESCENTS) on vocals. The album starts with a mellow jazz guitar piece and then proceeds to rip your face off until the end of the album, which closes with another solo jazz guitar piece. "Shipwrecked" is their strongest album yet. Fully realized and to the point. Fast and dissonant | | | | | VARIOUS - A GOOD THING GOIN'!GIRL GROUP USA 1962-1967 "A Good Thing Goin'!", the latest in our current series of gorgeously packaged 12-inchers, drops this month. TOO LATE TO KISS YOU NOW / The Cords | | | | | VARIOUS - THIS IS RETRO SOUL 1969-1979 Retro soul is a sound that you know when you hear it, recorded at a point where soul music reached its zenith. It's where the pioneers of the 60s had matured to a point that they could use the experiences of the past decade to create an incredible fusion that mixed R&B, gospel, funk and jazz and adorned it with expansive, sophisticated arrangements that allowed listeners to wallow in its depth and dance to its beat. Today this music soundtracks films and adverts, is mined for beats by clever producers and still sounds amazing when played in bars and clubs. This is music that urges you to get up on your feet. The 12 tracks on "This Is Retro Soul" are an entry point into this mythical world conjuring up images of flared trousers, Halston dresses, Cadillacs with a "diamond in the back" and hair the size of space helmets. But the music conforms to no simple clichés, whether it was created by international superstars such as Isaac Hayes and Millie Jackson, cult heroes George Jackson and Darrow Fletcher or obscure one-off groups such as the Brilliant Korners. | | | | | VARIOUS - THIS IS THE BREAKS 1966-1975 This Is The Breaks 1966-1975 is a compilation of twelve jazz, funk and soul records that have been instrumental in the evolution of hip-hop, sampled regularly by producers from the golden age of sampling right up to the present day.
