Cleveland power-pop punk trio Beatnik Termites was another group of Ramones
fanatics that merged a heavy Ramones influence with a love of surf rock,
their caustic pop melodies and ironic, stinging lyrics turning the soft
underbelly of pop music on its head, yielding a sound that had tinges of
innocence, beneath a knowing, thrash-rock wink. Front man Pat Kim (AKA Pat
Termite) started the band back in 1987 with drummer Reggie Silvestri and
bassist Brian McCafferty, the group was reputedly a favourite of Nirvana's
Kurt Cobain according to his diaries. This is a limited reissue of their
hyper rare debut 6 tracks 12", whose original copies are impossibile to
find for decent prices online. All Ramones maniacs now can fill that hole in
their collection thanks to the Hey Suburbia label.

BYRDS - LIVE IN AMSTERDAM 1970
Back in stock! The version of the Byrds that played Amsterdam's prestigious
Concertgebouw in July 1970 was very different to previous incarnations. The
Skip Battin & Gene Parsons rhythm section was tight and allowed the
guitars of Roger McGunn and Clarence White room to roam, most noticeably on
an extended Eight Miles High. Thoroughly road/hardened, the band played
material from throughout their entire career and threw in some previously
unreleased cover versions as well. Radio VPRO broadcast the gig, the twelve
tracks presented here have been chosen to complement the live portion of the

Released towards the end of the 60s, Children Of One's sole album was is a
rare andobscure psych/rock delice for acid fans, heavily influenced by the
so-called 'Eastern trend'. This quartet from New York picked several typical
Indian instruments like sitar, tablas and others. Improvisation is largely
present in their songs and overall the feeling is that of a really forgotten
gem that ranks up there with the best productions of that era. First vinyl
reissue since the original release on the blues label 'Real Records', and
limited to 500 copies only, this is recommended for all obscure US
psychedelic rock fans out there.

In the early 1970s, the journalist and composer Walter Bachauer played with
experimental fusion group Between, and after founding the Meta Music
Festival, began working for RIAS Berlin. 1981's Luna Africana was the first
electronic album he issued as Clara Mondshine, produced by early Tangerine
Dreamer, Klaus Schulze, it's delightfully lo-fi analogue with a very Berlin
feel, the 'motorik' style most evident on tracks like
andung Bei Vollmond (Landing On The Moon),' while 'Raga Des Aufgehenden
Planeten (Raga Of The Rising Planet)' and mazonenharfe (Harp Of The Amazons)'
add world music elements to the skeletal electronics. Fans of Kraftwerk,
Cluster and the Eno&Harmonia collaborations need to get stuck into this
obscure gem, a killer piece of Krautrock's emerging electronic puzzle.

Clint Eastwood followed his older brother Trinity onto the sound systems of
western Kingston, becoming another microphone fiend to impact during the
mid/1970s. After recording singles for Ossie Hibbert, Manzie Swaby and Joe
Gibbs, Eastwood teamed up with Bunny Lee for a series of sublime LPs, African
Youth a super 1978 set voiced at King Tubby's and mixed by Prince Jammy over
some of Lee's tough Aggrovators rhythms. Highlights include tough deejay
takes of Johnny Clarke's 'African Roots' and Cornel Campbell's tars,' as well
as a cut of Black Uhuru's 'Eden Out There,' from Jammy's archive. This is a
crucial roots classic with all killer, no filler status!

Back in stock! Caracol is one of the first examples of fusion between
Brazilian percussive music and electronics. Synthesizers, samplers and
sequencers were still a novelty in Brazil in the 1980s, but Joâo de Bruçó and
R.H. Jackson created an avant-garde masterpiece. Using popular references and
an eagerness to escape any retro / stylistic cliché that came to haunt
Brazilian youth music at that time, they plunged into an audacious, intuitive
and improbable sound journey in Caracol. This rare adventure of Brazilian
music was released independently in 1989, financed by the artists themselves.
The original small pressing sold-out, belonging now to record collectors
around the planet. For the first time Caracol is re-released on vinyl, with
two extra tracks found after decades! Remastered from the original tapes,
this reissue includes a reproduction of the original graphic art, new
testimonies from Joâo de Bruçó and RH Jackson and a long article signed by
Bento Araujo, author of the book series Lindo Sonho Delirante, which
investigates audacious and fearless music created in the Brazilian
underground. The track "Terra Batida" was included in Outro Tempo
(Electronic and Contemporary Music from Brazil 1978-1992), compilation by DJ

Cult Japanese power-pop/punk band Fifi and the Mach III was initiated in the
early 1980s in the southern port town of Kitakyushu by childhood sweethearts
Fifi and Nolly, Ramones fans that loved The Stooges and The Pistols. When
guitarist Tsukasa joined, Fifi dropped out to raise a baby, but re-joined in
1989, leading to their signing to garage rock label 1+2 Records. The
acclaimed debut CD, 'Attack The Zombies' here issued on vinyl for the first
time-had a couple of Pistols covers and a cut of The Kinks' "I Need
You," as well as unique originals like "Dog Of The Trend" and
"Raw Power Queen," which hinted at their influences, yet yielded a
distinctive sound.

British rockabilly combo The Krewmen had several distinct phases during the
1980s, beginning in 1982 as a rockabilly trio, they moved in a blues

The first posthumous release of a Dave Kusworth album is this limited
pressing of 700 copies on Dave's own imprint label. Featuring the talents of
Dave Twist (Prefects, Hawks, TV Eye, Tenderhooks) and Daryl Bath (Ian Hunter
Band) Includes the single 'For all the Perfect People.' Also, the
popular love song ballad "Not sent to hurt you." Jack of Hearts
Dave Kusworth was one of England's forgotten troubadours not unlike Nick
Drake in his lifetime a struggling musician ..a dreamer and a romantic but a
sensational songwriter . Kusworth was a hero about town (Birmingham) in the
late 70's early 80's with his band The Hawks & TV Eye and later Rag Dolls
before teaming up with ex Swell map Nikki Sudden and forming Jacobites and
recording the gloriously shambolic but quintessentially beautiful
obespierre's Velvet Basement'. After a brief spell in Dogs D Amour, Kusworth
Formed the Bounty Hunters and released their third album on Creation Records
where Kusworth found fans in not only Alan McGee but musicians such as Primal
Scream's Bobby Gillespie. In the mid '90s the Jacobites re united and
produced another 3 albums this time in a much more controlled studio
environment and with the assistance of more talented musicians signing on to
be a Jacobite. Dave's death in 2020 shocked friends' family and fans alike
and he is sorely missed continuously.

album starts with Venid A Ver and doesn't let up until the Phil Spector esque
Cuando Me Muera. Flip over and it's straight back to the upbeat gems, which
just keep coming until the final track Romance De Lobos which ends the album
in a more reflective album. Una Vida Vulgar is pure perfection and for fans
of X, Blondie and Rik Agnew.

The sensational Italian pop-punk quartet Senzabenza will forever be
associated with The Ramones, having opened for them on every Italian tour
undertaken by the legendary New York group during the 1990s, the Italians
eventually placing Joey Ramone in their producer's chair. Formed in 1989 in
Latina, a small town that lies a short distance southeast of Rome, the group
termed their music "Flower Punk," indicating a sound somewhere
between their Ramones obsession and the non-thrash tempos of surf rock, along
with peripheral links to the Italian variant of the 'beat' music of the
mid-60s, as well as hints of ska and the excesses of acid rock. As with many
underground acts of the era, a demo sparked the initial interest that brought
them onto the newly formed McGuffin label for debut set Peryzoma, with front
man Nando Ferdinandi joined by guitarist Sebi Filigi, bassist Fabio Furlan,
and drummer Max Bergo. One of the lost treasures of Euro Pop Punk, it was
about time that their groundbreaking debut LP 'Peryzoma' would get the
deluxe-reissue treatment.

Master rhythm duo Sly and Robbie first met on the Jamaican club scene of the
early 1970s, when both were playing clubs on Kingston's Red Hills Road. Thye
began working together at Channel One studio when Sly was drummer and
arranger of The Revolutionaries and Robbie the bassists mainstay of Bunny
Lee's Aggrovators and soon became the most in-demand drum and bass team on
the island. This obscure dub album, originally released on the Imperial label
in Canada, was produced by Lee in the late 1970s, and has the Rhythm Twins
trying their hands at updating classic rhythms such as "The
Liquidator," "Death In The Arena," "It's Raining,"
"Love Me Forever" and "My Conversation," as well as
killer cuts of Johnnie Clarke's "Roots Natty Congo," Gregory
Isaacs' "Storm" and an odd "Legalize It" rendition, plus
some wacky between-song interjections. A
must for all dub devotees.

Nit Records label, bassist Flip had been replaced by Dean Robson and drummer

VEGA, ALAN - MUTATOR
'Mutator' is the first of Sacred Bones' series of archival releases exhumed
from the vaults of the late electro-punk pioneer Alan Vega. These tracks were
recorded in 1995 and 1996 alongside his long-time creative partner Liz
Lamere, put on ice and seemingly forgotten about as Vega quickly began work
on another project. Influenced by New York's hip-hop scene of the time and
embracing the sounds of city living, utator' is an intriguing snapshot of a
fertile creative patch for the former Suicide man.

the French three-piece Veik will release their debut album, 'Surrounding
Structures'. Centred around vintage analogue synths and abrasive
instrumentation, the band's experimental post-punk is rooted in the 70s
avant-garde, most notably Krautrock and No Wave. They reel off groups like
Implog, Suicide or Indoor Life as inspirations, whilst existing in a similar
world to contemporaries like Beak>, Suuns and Girl Band.

YIP MAN - COCK OF THE NORTH
Yip Man is one Al Nero - a Scot living in China - and Cock of the North
continues his escapades of joyful abandon, with the pervasive sense of fun
that Nero has been channelling since his debut album, 2016's Braw Power, and
follow up, Pure, Zen Ken?, in 2019. Heralded as, "a power-pop
genius" by BBC Radio Scotland's Vic Galloway, Yip Man's talent for hooks
and ability to sculpt complex rhythm and harmony into digestible chunks of
unashamed pop is his herculean strength. Three albums in, he's a
well/seasoned songwriter and Cock of the North is further evidence that he is
working at the top of his game, stuffed full of structural twists and turns,
razor-sharp riffs, and deeply satisfying choruses. This could be Yip Man's
most personal collection to date. Lyrically, there's something heavier,
angrier and sadder woven through the record. Nero is less amiable than on previous offerings.
