Spanish punk band in January 1982, seven original songs and two versions
that would also become the band's live repertoire in their early years.
Among these songs we find the only studio version of 'Emilio Cao' and the
previously unreleased 'No me gusta bailar'. The sound of the original tape
has been mixed and mastered for this very special edition.

After the conclusion of their 15-part BBC radio season 'Pop Go The
Beatles', the group was invited back for a series of two-hour bank holiday
specials under the title 'From Us To You'. The first of these was recorded
in the BBC Paris Studio on December 18th and broadcast on Boxing Day
December 26th 1963. The now-disgraced Australian television star Rolf
Harris hosted the show and the Beatles accompanied him on a version of his
1960 hit 'Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport'.

Jimmy Conwell is a big name in Los Angeles soul music, either as a solo
singer on 4J, Gemini and Mirwood or as lead singer of the Exits on Gemini
and Kapp, the Tripps on Soundville or with Smoked Sugar on Teri De. 'Let It
All Out' was written in conjunction with his two main producers Len Jewell
Smith and Hank Graham, though Jimmy couldn't remember Hank's contribution.
It is a stunning ballad that was originally overlooked by Northern Soul
fans for the stomping 'Too Much' flip. A similar situation has occurred
with his Kapp 45, the mid-tempo 'Another Sundown In Watts' attracting much
of the attention and the superb 'I'm So Glad' ballad only recently picking
up deserved admirers.

Measured Mile imprint pulls out two floor-friendly gems from the De Wolfe
music library. Reg Tilsley Orchestral 'Warlock' is a hefty slab of brass
and drum action, with flute breaks to calm things down every so often.
American listeners may recognise it as backing music for National Football
League (NFL) games in the 70s. Roger Jackson's 'Slashpoint' is a cool,
funky piece from 1983 with terrific off-kilter sounds and echoes, an almost
electro-dub production. It was sampled by Alchemist for M.O.P. & Kool G
Rap's Legendary Street Team.

Boxset with seven 7"'s. The renowned Memphis 60s soul label Goldwax was a
medium-sized operation with just short of a hundred releases. Though it ran
a tight ship, inevitably some of their recordings fell by the wayside. Of
the 14 tracks, only three have been singles before - the sublime harmony
vocals of the Vel-Tones and the Lyrics with their mid-60s Goldwax releases
and Barbara Perry's R&B explosion 'A Man Is A Mean Thing' first released on
Kent but now long gone and craved for.

This collection of live tracks gives those of us who weren't there during
those halcyon days of psychedelia, a taste of just what lofty heights (and
hellish depths) the Elevators were capable of reaching. The performances
are taken from three sources: "Roller Coaster", "You're Gonna Miss Me" and
"Tried to Hide" from a rockin' appearance on a local Dallas / Ft. Worth
television show in the spring of 1966, "Don't Fall Down", "Kingdom Of
Heaven", "She Lives In A Time of Her Own" and "I've Got Levitation" from a
notoriously shambolic gig in Houston in 1967, and the remaining eight
tracks from a series of stellar performances at San Francisco's Avalon
Ballroom in autumn of 1966.

In 1972, Joyce and Nelson recorded the LP Nelson Angelo e Joyce, her only
professional recording between 1971 and 1975. Sophisticated in its
simplistic sound, the album explores Joyce's tender voice and Angelo's
melancholic mantra-shaped melodies. The duo fuse bossa nova and acoustic
psychedelic rock in arrangements that incorporate nature sounds and ritual
drumming. The opening track stands out with its angular chord changes and
pretty melody, a perfect start. They trade tunes, Joyce sings Hotel
Universo and Nelson sings the next track and then back to Joyce. A cohesive
work from both musicians.

Blodwyn Pig were formed by Mick Abrahams after he left Jethro Tull. Of
these twelve tracks recorded for the BBC, four songs are included which did
not appear on either of the studio LPs the band recorded for Island Records
in 1969 and 1970. Throughout Abrahams demonstrates his considerable
abilities as a blues-based guitarist whilst incorporating jazz and folk
influences with multi-instrumentalist Jack Lancaster. Comes with full

Repress!!Being as LSD was first developed in a laboratory in Basel, it is
perhaps no coincidence that one of the most "far out" albums of all time
was made by this Swiss band (no small feat, given the competition!).
Brainticket's 1971 debut, Cottonwoodhill, begins normally enough with two
fine psychedelic / kraut rock-influenced tracks, but the remainder of the
album plays like an acid trip with a soundtrack, dominated by Joel
Vandroogenbroeck's endless droning organ, a variety of musique
concrète-type sound effects and vocalist Dawn Muir's trippy vocals. The
album, banned in several countries, even came with this self-imposed
warning: "After Listening to this Record, your friends may not know you
anymore." / "Only listen to this once a day, your brain might be
destroyed!".

Repress!!1972's Psychonaut, by the Swiss-based Brainticket, is early
seventies space rock at its finest. While the band's debut album, 1971's
Cottonwoodhill, was a heavily acid-laden affair dominated by droning organ,
disturbing vocals and a collection of cacophonic sound effects (causing it
to carry a warning label and be banned in several countries) for their
second effort, band-founder Joël Vandroogenbroeck brought in a completely
new line-up and changed the band's sound dramatically. While Psychonaut
still takes listeners into the realm of altered consciousness-making heavy
use of a droning Hammond, sitar, tablas, etc.-this time the vocals are more
melodic and the music itself is more song-oriented. This is by far
Brainticket's most accessible album, and perhaps their most timeless. Fully
remastered from the original master tapes!

Clear Vinyl. This 1956 Donald Byrd-s quartet session, subsequently released
in 1957 on Transition Records, sees the young trumpeter leading a Beacon
Hill based rhythm section featuring bassist Doug Watkins, pianist Ray
Santisi, and drummer Jim Zitano. The perfect line up for getting through a
selection of classic standards such as 'Stella by Starlight', 'Polka Dots
and Moonbeams', and 'What's New'. The atmosphere is easy and relaxed, and
far from the hard bop & soul mood that later became Byrd's signature. This
is a higly sensitive quartet that swings lightly and without unnecessary
overplaying but with just the right hint of blues to make the music highly
intriguing.

Regarded by many as the first Japanese progressive rock group, the Far East
Family Band, whose first album release was under the name Far Out, released
The Cave Down To Earth in 1975. Influential in the creation of the bands
distinctive psychedelic sound was keyboard player Kitaro, who went on the
establish himself as a major New Age artist in the 80s. Although the band
was often categorized as New Age too, their sound was distinctly
progressive and often brought comparisons with Tangerine Dream and early
Pink Floyd. The ethereal, space-rock quality of the bands music is hear in
abundance but the centrepiece is without doubt the title track, with which
starts off in a mellowmood but then becomes a killer guitar jam. For music
fans that have yet to discover the delights of 70s Japanese psychedelic
rock, The Cave Down To Earthy is a fabulous introduction.

Legendary Japanese rock outfit Les Rallizes Denudes were formed in 1967 and
incredibly for a group that had only one official release (Oz Days Live, a
double vinyl compilation release in 1973), played their last gig almost 30
years later in October 1996. The bands name apparently means "fucked up and
naked" which more than adequately describes their music. Formed by band
leader Mizutani Takashi, the music remained remarkably familiar over the
years, and is best described as high volume, raw lo-fi repetitive
feedback-drenched guitar noise fests with nods in the direction of the
Velvet Underground and Blues Creation but without the electronics. Radical
left wing politics was never far from the bands agenda, with one original
band member (Wakabayashi) being involved in the Japanese Red Armys
highjacking of a flight to North Korea.. Consequently, the groups live
appearances became less frequent and increasingly clandestine. All the bands
albums were released in very small quantities and because of the groups
reputation for secrecy and violence, as well as the difficulty in tracking
down their recordings, Les Rallizes Denudes has assumed almost mythical
status

Hand of Glory is the tenth album by Royal Trux. It consists of recordings

Royal Trux take the scuzz of The Rolling Stones influenced punk bands such
as The Heartbreakers and New York Dolls and add an extra layer of scuzz and

Pope Adrian 37th Psychristiatric is the third LP by RUDIMENTARY PENI.
Recorded in 1992 but not released until 1995, it was the first music the
band recorded after their already leftfield Cacophony album. It is an
underrated and difficult masterpiece of truly outsider music. Full of
harrowing and morbid songs based on repetition, repetition and repetition,
pushing the listener into a trance like mood. Pope Adrian 37th
Psychristiatric shows the most experimental side of RUDIMENTARY PENI
testing the punk song concept, turning it into a mantra chant at times
while sounding like only RUDIMENTARY PENI could. The album opens with lead
track 'Pogo Pope', which sets the tone, with Blinko repeatedly singing
'Pogo Pope' ad nauseam, and the whole of the album has a continual loop of
the phrase -Popus Adrianus' running through its entirety. At the time Nick
Blinko was experiencing severe delusions and believed that he was Pope
Adrian the 37th and was detained in a psychiatric hospital under Section 3
of the 1983 Mental Health Act. The album is unhinged and challenging but
100% pure and idiosyncratic. This official reissue comes on a single sleeve
with printed inner and 16 page booklet with Nick Blinko artwork and has
been remastered from the original tapes by Arthur Rizk.

at odd, uncomfortable angles like the corners of a hand-me-down bureau in a
cramped London bedsit. SECOND DEATH's manic rhythms are littered with
unexpected accents that disrupt any slide into safety, comfort, or
convention, and while moments in "Sycophant" or "Caving" threaten to break
into a mosh, there's invariably an oddly timed accent that derails the
choreography like a feral tweaker wandering into the pit

Housed in a former grocery store in an industrial backwater, Meteor records
lived in the shadow of the Sun label in 1950s Memphis. It was run by Lester
Bihari, the mild-mannered brother of Joe, Jules and Lester Bihari, as an
outpost of their thriving Modern/RPM label in Los Angeles. Hoping to give
Sun a run for its money, Meteor kicked off promisingly in 1952 with the R&B
hit 'I Believe' by Elmore James recorded in Chicago. Though worthy,
subsequent R&B releases proved less successful. However, a second hit, this
time in the country field, 'Daydreamin' by Bud Deckelman in late 1954, gave
Meteor a new lease of life and piqued Lester's interest in recording
rockabilly artists, especially now that newcomer Elvis Presley was breaking
through on Sun. Soon they came calling: local honky-tonk bawlers like Bill
Bowen and Brad Suggs, out-of-State rockabillies (Junior Thompson, Steve
Carl), determined amats (Jess Hooper and Wayne McGuiness) and a smattering
of Sun renegades (Charlie Feathers and Malcolm Yelvington). Each and every
one had something cool to say and laid it down for posterity at Meteor,
among the most collectable of post-war labels since few releases were
distributed beyond Memphis and the surrounding area. Meteor Rockabilly's
unwitting truth is our truth: it let the music speak for itself, unadorned
and free of commercial imperatives. Exquisitely mastered from the best

Post-punk (originally called new musick) is a broad musical genre that
emerged in 1977 in the wake of punk rock. Post-punk musicians moved away
from punk-s traditional elements and raw simplicity, adopting instead a
broader, more experimental approach that included a variety of avant-garde
sensibilities and non-rock influences. Number 4 brings together five
seven-inches, here presented in their entirety, released between 1979 and
1981 by cultish british bands. Original covers, labels and credits are
fully reproduced on the back of the cover.

The dawn of psychedelic rock in Mexico, ten tracks introducing a worldwide
phenomena in the realm of the South American memory. A fascinating voyage
led by cultish band La Revolución De Emiliano Zapata and several other
nuggets-style combo. Originally released in 1971 the compilation was aptly
titled La Onda, referring to a broader cultural and political movement. La
Onda Chicana grew rapidly in a few years, culminating in a two days
"Mexican Woodstock" known as (Avándaro) which attracted ca. 300,000 people
in September 1971.

originally released in 1993, Maryland-based shoegazers Velocity Girl were
unsatisfied with the sound of their debut album Copacetic. Three decades

sin duda un libro infame, uno de esos manuscritos considerados como raros
entre los raros. H. P. Lovecraft, en su habitual catálogo de obras ominosas
o prohibidas, lo situó junto al célebre Necronomicón, entre otros,
citándolo en varias ocasiones como una obra que trataba horrores
innombrables. Concebido como un tratado filosófico que pretendía demostrar
la inexistencia de los llamados «muertos masticadores» o «muertos que
devoran», provocó justamente lo contrario, convirtiéndose rápidamente en
una obra de culto que inspiró a las obras clásicas del género incluido, por
supuesto, el Drácula de Bram Stoker.
